Non-nfl logos

Just for fun, think about it for a minute:

Who do you think out there (Arena, AF2, CFL, XFL, IFL or other non-NFL league) has the logo or look that NFL-quality?  Since the USFL & CFL had so many that were worthy, let's leave them out.  Here's mine:

(In no particular order)

Carolina Cobras (Arena)

Albany Conquest (AF2)

Chicago Enforcers (XFL)

New York/New Jersey Knights (WLAF)

San Jose SabreCats (Arena)

honorable mention:

New York Sharks & Portland Shockwave (IWFL)..I know, women's league, but good logos!

Leaving out your honorable mentions, I would agree with all of your choices except I would substitute the Michigan Panthers (USFL) for the Sabrecats.

I'd also add the LA Avengers (AFL) to the list.

Arena Football League -

1)Grand Rapids Rampage

2)Austin Wranglers

3)Carolina Cobras

arena football 2 -

1)Albany Conquest

2)Hawaii Islanders

3)Columbus WarDogs

Canadian Football League -

1)Toronto Argonauts

2)Montreal Alouettes

3)San Antonio Texans

4)Baltimore Stallions

Independent Women's Football League -

1)Philadelphia Liberty Belles

2)Sacramento Sirens

NFL Europe/World League of American Football -

1)Berlin Thunder

2)Ohio Glory

3)London Monarchs

National Indoor Football League -

1)Myrtle Beach Stingrays... This logo just makes my cut. I think that it is clearly the best of the NIFL's logos, but I wonder if it is too "minor-league" looking to be of NFL calibre?

National Women's Football Association -

1)Tennessee Venom

2)Philadelphia Phoenix

United State Football League -

1)Michigan Panthers

2)Chicago Blitz

3)Houston Gamblers

4)Boston/New Orleans/Portland Breakers

5)Jacksonville Bulls

6)Arizona Wranglers

7)Tampa Bay Bandits

8)Oklahoma/Arizona Outlaws

9)Birmingham Stallions

10)Memphis Showboats

11)Washington Federals

XFL -

1)Birmingham Thunderbolts

2)Chicago Enforcers

World Football League -

The WFL logos are very much a product of their era (the 1970s), so I don't think that any of them would be suitable for use by a current NFL franchise.

If pressed on selecting a "Top 10" that would most realistically be suitable for NFL use, I'd opt for:

1)Grand Rapids Rampage

2)Toronto Argonauts

3)Austin Wranglers

4)Carolina Cobras

5)Michigan Panthers

6)Albany Conquest

7)Berlin Thunder

8)Tennessee Vipers

9)Ohio Glory

10)Hawaii Islanders

Arena: Iowa Barnstormers, Houston Thunderbears(the bear head, at least), Orlando Predators

af2: Quad City Steamwheelers, SD Riptide

NIFL: maybe the Oklahoma Crude

WLAF/NFLE: Rhein Fire, London Monarchs, Amsterdam Admirals

CFL: all of the current ones, 70s Alouettes, maybe the Argos football boat, Memphis Mad Dogs

USFL: Pittsburgh Maulers, Bos/NO/Por Breakers, Arizona Wranglers, Denver Gold, Michigan Panthers

Semipro: Racine Raiders, Milwaukee Marauders (simply cus they use original logos as opposed to the standard semipro

practice of using an NFL or college logo.  Racine's logo has been used since 90, and Milwaukee started a couple years ago)

Other: New Zealand Haka...from the country that brought you the All Whites and All Blacks (soccer and rugby national teams, respectively), well, just google em and you'll find it.

Wow. I think this covers it for the entire board. Next subject!

(I would be remiss to neglect the Birmingham Fire. That is an awesome helmet. Oh, and the failed expansion St. Louis Stallions would have been a good NFL helmet, before the Broncos "borrowed" the concept.)
