New Era losing their marbles...

count me in as another who immediately thought of MTV when I first saw this. In fact, I kind of thought the hat itself was supposed to imply being part of the MTV 'hip-hop' generation with the astronaut decked out in 'bling' But yeah, that is an extremely dated reference that I doubt most people would get. I think MTV stopped using the astronaut around 20 years ago, and the only time he does appear is during 'classic' MTV spots of how it was in the old days

Actually I saw Blades Of Glory, and the MTV Films intro has a bunch of astronauts sitting in a theatre.

Its been YEARS since I've seen the astronaut. I guess with the whole retro thing becoming popular again, MTV brought it back for their line of feature films

Its this simple...

If there wasn't a market for this stuff...they wouldn't make it.

They aren't going to waste money to push some kind of "hip-hop agenda"...trust me.

Then what do you call it other than a "hip-hop agenda"?

Thug-life agenda?

Gangsta agenda?

Lets-see-how-gaudy-and-ridiculous-we-can-make-these-caps-look-and-suckers-will-still-buy-them agenda?
