Craaazy Seahawks Jersey

It was a Hasslebeck jersey, dark blue numbers with a lime green outline, and lime green arms. Seemed like a pretty cheezy fashion alternate, but hey, anythings better than the all-gray monstositiy. Still, 100 bucks...not worth it.

You guys ever see any interesting or downright stupid, cheesy fashion alts?

a few winters ago I was in Finish Line and I saw a very interesting Brewers cap. the front panels were blaze orange with a camoflauge M, and the rest of the cap was camouflage. a fella workin there told me they were actually selling a good number of em, which used to be pretty tough to do as far as anything with the current logos went.

then last year, a little bit after the draft the same FL was selling black and white Favre jerseys.

and then recently I bought a digital camo Lake Elsinore Storm cap (if you don't know who I'm talkin about, they're the guys who came up with that "eyes" cap about 10 years ago) cus Foot Locker had it on sale for $3 and I'd passed up a white version at Hatworld a while before that.

Hmm that's odd... that sounds like an item that would be marketed for deer hunters. And that's a crowd that tends to live upstate. I wonder why the people up there suddenly care for the Brewers :D

I saw at least a dozen of those when I went to North Dakota this summer.

Dome Plus in Minneapolis used to have a stock of orange New Era caps with a black TC on them. Same deal: safety orange ballcaps for hunters.

Brings to my the old Steven Wright line routine, which went something like, "I wanted to go deer hunting. But I don't want to play a sport where you have to wear orange so your buddies don't kill you. So now I hunt cows instead."

Also, here in DC, in 2006 the local sports shops were briefly flooded with red flat-top pillbox-style Nats caps with three horizontal stripes of black piping and the curly W. The letter was white with a black outline. Beautiful caps, except the team colors aren't red and black. That's, you know, the Atlanta Falcons. If only they'd been red and blue I'd have bought one. Actually, Nike does that all the time with Nats gear: It's like Nike feels we should be happy just getting one team color, so Nike's Nats caps seem universally to be black and red.

What stores were they sold in? I've never seen any around here.

I saw them at Pentagon City, Springfield Mall, Tyson's, and oddly enough the Hecht's/Macy's at Metro Center. Starting in June 2006 they just seemed to be everywhere, but by August they were gone, and I haven't seem then since. I know they were available on the MD side of the Metro, too, since I saw a few of them being worn by spectators at my vintage team's games in the Baltimore area.

Recently I saw a Sabres jersey that had an image of this hideous furry, yellow slug on it. I mean, talk about ugly.... :P

Engine, Engine, Number Nine, on the New York transit line,

If my train goes off the track, pick it up! Pick it up! Pick it up!

Back on the scene, crispy and clean,

You can try, but then why, 'cause you can't intervene.

We be the outcast, down for the settle. Won't play the rock, won't play the pebble.
