Portland Trailblazers concept

I was looking at the Blazers unis the other day and realize that they're relatively uninspired, especially given the uniqueness of their logo. So I went for a pretty radical redesign that would somehow incorporate the look of their logo.

As you can see, I got rid of all the silver/gray, so these jerseys are nothing but red, black and white. I think the stark contrast works well. Obviously the right side panel is the most unusual aspect of this design, with the diagonal stripes resembling their logo. Originally I had the stripes curving into each other like in the logo, but I realized that this would never look right on the court, so as it is now the stripes just hint at the logo instead of mirroring it. The left side panel keeps a bit of their traditional style with the two thick stripes (that currently run diagonally across the jersey).

The red alt is the same jersey template, but I went with the throwback-style font.

I like these, but realize there's probably room for improvement, so C&C welcome.

College sports as we know them are just about dead. The lid is off on all the corruption that taints just about every major program and every decision that the schools or the NCAA make is only about money, money, and more money. We'll have three 16+ team super-conferences sooner rather than later, killing much of the regional flair and traditional rivalries that make college sports unique and showing the door to any school that doesn't bring money to the table in the process. Pretty soon the smaller schools are going to have to consider forming their own sanctioning body to keep the true spirit of college sports alive because the NCAA will only get worse in it's excess from here
