Alphabet Man
I only go for Manchester United cos they wear St Kilda colours.Derby to be honest with ya, will be back. They have more development in them, they just came into the PL a few years too early. Also, I am sick with those mid-table teams that are always mid-table, they never challenge for the title, but never have to fight to stay up. Teams like Middlesborough, Newcastle, Blackburn Rovers. They should just drop say 10th place each season so those teams in midtable have to fight for something, they either have to win to get out of tenth or lose to get below tenth, its like the kid left stranded in musical chairs when the music stops. After last season, I thought Reading were onto something, but i guess it was beginners luck twitter.com/thebrainofMatt
DarkJourney
8th for Portsmouth FC. Improvement by one spot over last year at 9th and the year before at 17th. Now on to the FA Cup Final against Cardiff at Wembley!
heernumurr
I say come on the big four! Rub it right in Blatter and Platini's faces. I for one find it quite exciting to have four world class teams in one league, despite how boring everyone else seems to find it. Perhaps people should watch the football (which has been very exciting this year) and not the league table, which incidentally, hasnt been this close for a good while. FiddySicks
Personally, I'm on the "screw the big four" bandwagon. That and the "support your local club" campaign, but that's mostly for US folks.I'm with you on the local club campaign. I just moved to Portland and have seen three of the Portland Timbers' first five games. It's been a lot of fun to have a local team to support, even in a lower division. But I can't buy into the "screw the big four" mentality out there. Obviously, that's because I'm an Arsenal fan. But I became an Arsenal fan after watching them on their way to the Champions League final a few years ago. Call me a bandwagoner, but I think many American fans gravitate toward the big four because they're the teams most commonly televised on major networks. The main reason I root for Chelsea is because the first pro soccer game I went to was Chelsea vs LA Galaxy. Had it been any other EPL team, I'd probably be rooting for them. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) SouthSidePride
I'm a big proponent of US soccer. I support the Chicago Fire, my local team, with the same fervor I support Liverpool.I'm most importantly a fan of football futbol or soccer in the United States. But I recognize that the best version of the game is played in Europe and for some reason when I was younger I attached to Liverpool.I think that you can have the best of both worlds, because the leagues are worlds apart. You know those player Christmas parties tend to get out of hand...
