sacker12
Very, interesting story.http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/9145048...-rings?MSNHPHMALYNN, Massachusetts (AP) - Authorities say they have found 27 New York Giants NFL Super Bowl rings, valued at more than $170,000, stolen last June from a Massachusetts jewelry manufacturer. The Essex District Attorney's office said investigators found the rings Tuesday in a bank safe deposit box in the town of Saugus. Prosecutors said 22-year-old Kristen Sullivan, who allegedly rented the box, was being held on a charge of receiving stolen property and would be arraigned Wednesday.Sullivan was one of three people arrested Friday in the $2 million robbery of jjewelry manufacturer E.A. Dion Inc. in Attleboro. She had been freed on her own recognizance after pleading not guilty earlier Tuesday to a previous charge of receiving stolen property. It wasn't immediately known if she has an attorney.Sean Murphy of Lynn pleaded not guilty Monday to receiving stolen property and was ordered held on $250,000 bail. According to court documents, police found one of the stolen Super Bowl rings in the 44-year-old Murphy's bedroom, jewelry in his car, and rare coins in a bank safe deposit box. Murphy's lawyer says his client looks forward to his day in court.
Swiss
I didn't know that one.So, had the Giants received duplicate rings last year? It's great to be young and a Giant! - Larry Doyle
sacker12
I wouldn't be shocked if they were either extras or secondary rings made for other team staff. I think the rings that the players and coaches got were made by someone else.
JayJaxon
Wow. I didn't even know they were stolen. That's crazy.
Bleujayone
I wonder if it was so wise to have the rings made in the state where the team you beat in the Super Bowl resides? We all have our little faults. Mine's in California.
sacker12
Another story on it. Apparently, my guess about the rings being for the support staff was correct.http://www.bostonherald.com/news/regional/...owl_ring_heist/

FiddySicks
Ok now I'm not one for crime, but if there was ever a felony I could pull and get away with, it would definitely be the theft of a large allotment of Super Bowl rings. Could you even imagine having 27 Super Bowl rings in your possession? On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)
