MTV modifies logo

I quite like the new logo, but still not keen on the new trend that see's the logo as a vessel on other images, like aol, and now MTV are doing.

I never cared for the channel, but I remember when it actually played music video and the lot, but then my parents canceled our cable, and by the time I got satellite years later, it had already mutated into basically what it is now. Again, I never cared for the channel in the first place, but it was so annoying hearing all those "MTV stands for Music Television, but they'd don't play any music" complaints. Glad to see they at least took off the "Music Television" part, so hopefully people will stop bringing that up as much.

I think it means that they cut off their head and legs. All that's left is a mutilated, rotting corpse.

But then I grew up with 120 Minutes, Headbanger's Ball, Liquid Television, the first two seasons of the Real World, and Beavis and Butthead to go along with a steady stream of great early 90's music. After that apex, where could they have gone?

Agreed, I think it was Carson Daly and Total Request Live that ruined what was MTV. Today it's nothing more than a joke, a show called Teen Moms? Really? I guess the only good thing about it is Snookie.

Gary I'm pretty sure getting with Snookie would be like throwing a toothpick down the Grand Canyon. The normal hotdog down a hallway just doesn't seem to fit with her.

Also nothing beat Remote Control in the early 90's. Nothing.

Why this network still exists is beyond me.

For the same reason that shows like Jerry Springer and Keeping up with the Kardashians still exist....because there are people who love to stimulate their one semi functioning braincell with this type of programming. More power to them.

Now if that braincell could somehow be programmed to prevent the rest of that individual to breed then we'd be onto something...but I digress.
