Joe Maddon barred from wearing hoodie

Doesnt MLB issue an official hoodie every season and then again for playoff teams to be worn in the dugout?

Yeah, I think they issue it for the playoffs, and then that becomes the general design for the next season. In the '08 playoffs, the Phillies had the slate-gray hoodies with the block type. I think they may have had them in red too. They were the same for '09 regular season, but "Playoffs" was replaced by "Baseball" (I think, I'm just going off of memory.)

Maybe it will be acceptable if he just cuts the sleeves off of it.

I'm just happy to say on behalf of all the hoodie-wearers everywhere that MLB is back in line with a subculture that I can really, truly identify with.

Maddon's a hoot. I wish he were my team's manager instead of his doddering check-cashing old predecessor.

I love Maddon. How many other managers would die their hair jet black for a road trip?
