The Australian American Football League, or AAFL, is a league me and my friend Zach have been working on for about a month now. Zach came up with the teams and I did the unis. Most of the logos ar clip-art.

First up, the league logos. I've taken a simple QB sillohuette logo, similar to the MLB and NBA, but changed the colours to Green and Gold. The Division logos are just variations on this.

For the first team, I'm doing the Hobart Hammers. I've really tried to keep this one simple, and the colours are brown and white.

Now, the Adelaide Kings. I thought about adding a yellow alt but didn't because it looked ridiculous on inkscape.

Nice set, but one little question:

Why no team in Canberra? (Every national major league should have a team in the nation's capital)

Well, I've been thinking of taking the team out of Bunbury and putting it in Canberra for a while now, I think I will after reading your question.

Sorry, but that "Magic" logo immediately made me think the team was called the "Fairies". It would work fine for a soccer team, a sport that regularly uses pink in their color schemes, but it's far too feminine for football.

Way to present clipart as your own work.

The wand and the crown are also stolen and uncredited.

I've lost all credibility as uniform designer haven't I? I NEVER said that the logos were my own work, just the unis.

Not trying to get involved here, but what you said in the first post makes you seem like you're taking credit for the logos.

Look, I'm not going to throw you under the bus like many others would for using logos that were not yours. BUT, fact of the matter is you ARE using logos that are NOT your own. It's frowned upon in the design community. The uniforms are not terrible, because I see some potential with some of them. But, it would be more advisable to take some time with these designs, create your own emblems, and make this project REALLY your own.

Trust me, if you would have been using your own logos for this project, you might be getting a more positive response from folks. I, for one, like the general idea you have and would like to see you continue to execute it. But, take some time with these, create your own emblems in Paint, Inkscape, Photoshop, etc., and post these bad boys up when they're fine tuned.

Since you now know what you need to do with the logos, let me comment on the unis.

Hammers

- Is that supposed to be a chocolate brown color? Either way, I like this. I think 2 colors can work when done correctly and these are very clean-looling.

Kings

- No problems here. I personally don't love the purple/yellow combo in football as much as others do, bu I recognize the colors compliment each other. While a yellow alt may have not looked great in inkscape, I think seeing a purple/yellow/white combination with purple numbers and purple socks would be a breath of fresh air.

Magic

- Can't say I love the color choice here. The actual design of all 4 teams' unis is fine but IMO 2-tone blue does not look great with gray. The lighter blue jersey with gray numbers looks way washed out to me, if you're going to keep the 2-tone blue I'd either add black or white to create some definition.

Blaze - My favorite of the four. I love the colors and can't wait to see when you get you rown logo on the helmet!

I think it would be timely to do the Melbourne Mayhem, the only logo I actually made. Please ignore the HOME UNI side panel thing, that got accidentally left over from something else.
