What's wrong with this box score?

Recommended Posts

Wrong as in factually incorrect or as in "just plain wrong"?

Er, wait... *blink*

Two goals at the 20:00 mark of the first period? Or the fact that the Anaheim goals are listed at the top as 2-3-3, but they seemingly scored 4-2-2 in the summary?

other then the fact the ducks won that game.....

Legace faced 12 shots and made 8 saves, meaning he gave up 4 goals

CuJo faced 17 shots and made 14 saves, meaning he gave up 3 goals

according to that, the ducks scored 7 goals on 29 shots

the final score totals however state that the ducks scored 8 goals on 30 shots

Winner!

Oh and the 8th goal by Anaheim was an empty netter, which is why is doesn't count as a goal against Legace or Joseph.

I would have mentioned the same penalty listed twice at 19:58 of period 1, but it was either a double-minor or 2 separate penalties, one before and one after the whistle.

The #1 thing wrong is that you are noticing errors in 2-and a-half month-old box scores.

I saw the 7 and 8 goal diff.. but the empty net idea makes sence to me.

You are much more observant on 2 1/2 month old box scores than i.
