Conference USA Subtle Changes

Obviously an improvement but quite the subtle change. Most people probably won't even notice it. I wish they would update the font a little bit as well.

Is Southern Miss phasing out the eagle head? Their wordmark is listed as both their primary and alternate logo.

As for the logo itself, definite upgrade.

One of the best conference logos in the country in my opinion. Simple, solid, recognizable, and ties in with anything they want to do.

As for the logo itself, definite upgrade.

The had to phase it out. Trademark violation. Their look was deemed to close to Iowa and Iowa sued and won. It's not what you think, it's what the general public thinks and to the general public who doesn't know much, the Southern Miss Eagle head was too similar in looks and colors and could be confused as a University of Iowa logo, thereore violating trademark violation. It was never trademarked and was never official, it was just used hoping they could use it.

That's because they're all joining this year or next. The majority of the old, mostly red schools, left for the American conference.

I find it funny that UTSA is the only school listed with two Institutional Color Applications.
