marble21
Here's an actual image:Old on the left, new on the right.I like the update but would prefer if the text at the top of the shield was in white. UBI FIDES IBI LUX ET ROBUR
Gothamite
Gradient? Really?A white shield would probably look better against the red and black striped shirt but not as good on its own. The two masters every crest must serve. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
Jaffa
A reasonable enough update but, like marble21 and Gothamite say respectively, the club name would look better in white and gradients aren't the greatest look.A white shield would probably look better against the red and black striped shirt but not as good on its own.I've seen a keyline version with a little bit of gold outlining, to stand out against black/darker backgrounds. Looks alright.Anyway, nice to see a club not totally hellbent on binning its identity...
SDX
agree with all the comments in here, nice upgrade apart from the gold gradient. Why couldn't have Everton done ours so well
Gothamite
Well, at least you'll get another chance with Everton. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
Trapper John
Not really a fan. It looks like a woman heading the ball and the ball is the old 1970's world cup style which makes it seem dated to that era.
SCL
I actually prefer the old and I usually don't with football crest updates. It seems like every updated shield has the same shape.
