Looks very nice.

IIRC, you used that same eagle head with an E forming wings in another design. Only reason I mention that is you seem reluctant to expand with a body. I think you could do a nice job if you tried.

On the other hand, through in a stylized outline of the capital building in the background and you might have yourself an awesome Washington Capitals logo (though I'd prefer to see it in red, white, and blue).

Anyway, looks nice.

I, too, thought of the other eagle logo--but this is way better. WOW--the shapes flow well and there is an implied movement & grace there...

I really like it, but I think you might want to consider not going with a bald eagle. There are other kinds of eagles. The white head with no dark body to contrast it makes your logo look like more of a seagull than an eagle to me.

Or a pigeon--good point--maybe in keeping with Winnipeg's blue & gold using a Golden eagle?

Well you'll do as you prefer--which is fair...

That W ruins it, sorry to say. Everything above the W looks sweet, but then the letter looks like it has been done in a different style to the rest and was added in as a substitute for drawing the rest of the wings and body. What may work better would be to continue the solid blue wing segments further down the side of the letter itself. Otherwise going from smooth, thin blue strokes to a chunk of gold and blue just looks awkward.

yeah, like frame the W with whole wings or something?
