Wazup, man. I was think for a while about what people here have said 'bout the american Franchises dragging down da NHL. So I came up with a concept to move all the nhl teams to canada. Every province has 2 franchises except for Nova Scotia and P.E.I. I welcome disagreement and criticism but remember this is only a concept so don't freak out!!

PRINCE OF WALES CONFERENCE

Roy Division- Gretzky Division- Howe Division

quebec nordiques(colorado)- toronto maple leafs- victoria thrashers(atlanta)

halifax devils(new jersey)- ottawa senators- churchill hurricanes(carolina)

fredricton Islanders(new york)- hamilton bruins(boston)- saskatoon captials(D.C)

p.e.i penguins(pittsburgh)- niagara sabres(buffalo)- labrador lightining (tampa)

st john's flyers(philly)- montreal canadiens - regina panthers(florida)

toronto mighty ducks(anahiem)

CAMPBELL CONFERENCE

Messier Division- Francis Division- Hull Division

iqaluit blackhawks(chicago)- calgary flames- vancouver rangers(n.y)

whitehorse blue jackets (columbus)- edmonton oilers- B.C stars(dallas)

yellowknife predators (nashville)- vancouver canucks- alberta sharks(san jose)

dawson city blues (st louis)- winnipeg jets(expansion)- saint john kings(l.a)

resolute wings(detroit)- laval wild (minnesota)- manitoba coyotes(pho)

If you live in canada, you know where dawson city, laval, etc. are.

UPDATE-sorry for the bad english.

Let's keep the NY Rangers, Boston, Chicago , Colorado and Detroit.

We take Roger Clemente's Idea and move the coyotes back to manitoba

Manitoba gets the ducks

Fredricton Islanders become New Brunswick Islanders and we move them to play in moncton

An all canadian can't survive six months. Thanks for bringing me to my senses guys.

blues go to Cape Breton/Sydney.

Pick where the other teams go to in canada

That is the most idiotic thing I've ever read on the Internet.

Ok, Why do some cities have two teams? Why do the territories have a team (their population together doesn't equal half of Toronto's, i'm guessing).

Victoria is left off the list. If you were going for all Canada, why didn't you include them? Also, thirty teams is way waaay more then enough for an all Canada league. Why the hell do you need expansion?

But some thought into this before you post it.

This easily ranks as one of the dumbest ideas I ever read.

1. Considering that this is primarily based on geography, why the hell is Saint John, New Brunswick in a division with B.C. Alberta and Manitoba? And why did you place Labrador in a division with Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C.?

2. Why did you even add a 31st team when you clearly had enough trouble finding 30 Canadian cities to handle the existing teams? Why not just put the Coyotes back in Winnipeg, call them the Coyotes, and give the Mighty Ducks to Manitoba.

3. You gave Fredericton an NHL teams but not Moncton, which is larger than Fredericton.

4. What makes you think the NHL will survive in any of the following cities?

- Labrador has a total population of approximately 30,000. The largest city in Labrador (conveniently named Labrador City) has a population of approximately 9000.

- Whitehorse has a population of approximately 23,000.

- Yellowknife has a population of approximately 18,000.

- Iqaluit has a population of approximately 5000.

- Dawson City has a population of approximately 2000.

- Resolute has a population (based on the 2001 Canadian Census) of exactly 215!!! What the :censored: possessed you to move the most successful American team to a town of TWO-HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN!!??)

- In fact, all three territories of Canada COMBINED have a total population of approximately 95,000 spread out over half of Canada. For comparison's sake, the Cape Breton Regional Municipality, anchored by Sydney, who you didn't give a team to, has a combined population of approximately 105,000 spread out over a 50 mile radius.

You're idea would flop faster than James Craven two seconds after losing his virginity.

Okay. I messed up. Let's see who here could make a new nhl work without any U.S cities

Maybe the point is the NHL cannot exist without US cities.

Alright. Lets leave Boston, New York(Rangers), Chicago, Detroit and Colorado

You'd be on crack to not include Minnesota. I would also include Philadelphia, St. Louis, Dallas and San Jose to that list as well. (Your reaction to the last two teams I suggested will reveal lots about your character, so I'd choose my words wisely if I were you.)

An all Canadian NHL would never work. The reasoning is that there are not 30 cities that could support 20 or more players who demand (and maybe deserve) a salary of 1-2 million dollars each. (Good luck Resolute!) All the major talent would waste no time defecting to Europe to play for more money.

If they were to cut it down to about 10 teams total, then it could work, similar to how the CFL works. But all of those cities would have to sell out every game to have any chance of survival and you'd likely have to lower the salary cap dramatically too (which would still make it too easy for the good players to go overseas to make more money.)

Good luck with that, seeing how two-thirds of the hallowed Original Six were American teams...

Canada is a nation of 32 million people; over 5 million of them live in greater Toronto, and another 3.6 million live in greater Montreal. Only two cities have over a million residents within the city limits, and those two cities comprise a quarter of the nation's residents. So does Toronto get 5 teams, and Montreal 3 or 4? It's where the people are, after all...

Honestly, do you expect Canada to be able to support a major league the size of the NHL (30 teams)? Junior hockey aside, it won't happen. The CFL runs pretty well, but they run 9 teams. IIRC, the Canadian baseball leagues have about the same number of teams.

And what's with the substandard English? No one's impressed.

In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.
