Not a big fan of the bacon logo. Like Gothamite said, do something with it (shape it into an L, baseball bat, something) instead of just having a piece of clip-art bacon sitting there, and we're all good.

Why is the "club de beisbol" offset to the left? It also bothers me how the outermost black stroke on the "Toros" script interrupts the white outline on the roundel. Why the subtle gradient in the middle? That said, it beats what it replaced. I get that the "T" is probably supposed to be bull horns... but it failed. Mexican baseball has always intrigued me. The curious relationship of LMB with MLB and Mexico's own minor leagues are quite interesting.

There are a lot of weird differences in the "Desert Ghosts" text in the primary and wordmark. Look at the tops of the letters "ESE" in "Desert," the tops of all the letters in "Ghosts," and the bottom of the last S. There are also little spots of green inside the G, and between the S-T-S.

I just stumbled onto this. Fantastic work and talent, all around. Great job! I'll be keeping up with these.

Count me in as someone who loves the new Lake Monsters' set. Not that the previous one was bad, but I like the new one a lot.

I know it's supposed to be the reins on the horse, but it looks like a really wide, froglike mouth. It's keeping me from loving it.

In Canada, in the late 90's Kmart did go under - bought out by the Hudson Bay Company. They made most of them into Zellers store. Kmart hasn't gone under (yet...) so they really haven't "failed," but like I said, I don't know how. I've been in a Kmart twice in the past 10 years. In both experiences, the store was less than clean and it seemed like everything was overpriced. It doesn't seem to have any sort of market that it caters to like Wal-Mart (I want my and I want it cheap!) or Target (slightly more expensive, but better quality) does.

Agreed. If I hadn't known beforehand, I probably wouldn't have realized it was him. Same here. It might just be the angle of the photo, but it took me a minute to realize who it was - the "winning" reference helped.

Those both look real. Swingmans (Swingmen?) are hard to fake. The overwhelming majority of fakes are advertised as "authentic" as it is actually easier to fake a sewn, tackle twill jersey. Also, who really wants to fake a product with a mid-level price point? People want to fake the expensive one. I think you're good to go.

Not sure if it's related to football very much, but the Big South added former D-1 Independent Longwood today. Big South Accepts Longwood I had a feeling the Big South would be adding another school (currently at 11, Longwood makes 12) but I was hoping it would be Kennesaw State. This gives the Big South four members in each of the three represented states - VMI, Radford, Liberty, Longwood (Virginia); High Point, UNC-Asheville, Campbell, Gardner-Webb (North Carolina); Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, Presbyterian, Winthrop (South Carolina). The story behind this may be more newsworthy. Longwood has been an independent since 2007, but is just now getting a bid for the Big South? Could mean that the Big South is snapping up an available member to cushion for one/two that may be leaving.
