  1. I've always got the vibe the couple of times I've been around the Beltway that they care about Maryland at least a decent bit. But yeah, it's all about getting BTN in more households -- hence why you'll see the Big Ten probably make a play for UNC and Georgia Tech. Notre Dame aligning themselves with the ACC for all sports seems to make sure they'll have an "in" if it comes down to that.
  2. Why not Seattle since it appears the arena is going to be built? Does it really work in the current CBA to put in for an expansion team that may very well not come into existence (lack of arena) until the next CBA?
  3. Most of the people I know own fakes are most definitely able to afford the real thing. Also, PROTIP: Don't buy a jersey full-price. Legit places hold sales all the time. Don't be an enabler of IP theft and stop bringing down the value of some of this boards' members. You do realize teams will pay less for design if they're making less off of it, no?
  4. Actually, jerseys do often get held up and confiscated in customs. Remember the whole Jets fake jersey fiasco?
  5. It's naturally a lot easier to counterfeit a soccer jersey. With the exception of the crest, which is small, the only other printing is screen-printed and typically standard text. Unless there's a lot of little details on the shirt, it wouldn't be ridiculously hard.
  6. Sorry Tank, but I really doubt that CC wants to link to a site that, you know, doesn't proofread.
  7. I do just about everything right-handed, but I throw a frisbee left-handed.
  8. Still an absolutely awesome jersey... I'm gonna go try to find mine now.
  9. Yeah, the HL was going to bar Butler from postseason competition, so... It'll be Oakland as member #10 though. I'd bet on it. They'll be the sixth baseball program, and UDM can't block them on their own now that they've lost their buddy in blocking OU. Wouldn't be shocked at all to see the HL try to pick up IUPUI and IPFW as well to be honest. Keeps a strong Indiana presence.
  10. Honestly, what's everybody's issue if a legitimate owner willing to take over and run the team buys the Coyotes and keeps them in Glendale? If it's true, I'm happy they're finding a legitimate owner who can hopefully make it work.
  11. A deep cup run is going to have some impact, one would have to imagine. Having good ownership should, too. I want it to succeed. Just hopefully it does if this goes through.
  12. The Pacers' place (I'm assuming that's Bankers Life Fieldhouse) and the Barclays Center were designed by the same folks. Well, there you go!
  13. Barclays Center is so much like Bankers Life Fieldhouse from a seating chart point of view.
  14. I'd say the same thing, but there are three things that I think will keep IUPUI out of the HL. 1. The IU and Purdue directors don't want IUPUI's athletics program getting anywhere near as big as theirs... you put them in the Horizon and they take the next step towards being more powerful athletically. 2. They play in what equates to a small school gymnasium right now. 3. They don't play baseball. If Butler leaves, that brings the HL down to 5 baseball playing schools. You need six to have an automatic bid. 1. Believe me, I wish I could claim that the Horizon was just a notch under the Big Ten... or even within a handful of notches... but sadly, this is not the case. IU and PU would be ridiculously paranoid to block IUPUI from the Horizon for that reason. 2. I was about to say "Well so does Valpo" then I did some googling and... yeesh... Valpo looks like they play in an NBA arena compared to Ooey-Pooey. 3. I'm sure the Horizon knows baseball is a dying sport within its footprint and a couple of its programs (such as Milwaukee's) are already on shaky ground. Frankly, I'm surprised its lasted this long. 1. They'll sit there and say "Butler did it from the Horizon League, what's to keep IUPUI from doing it?" 2. Yeah. Valpo only plays in a high school gym by Indiana standards. 3. Eh, the schools that still have it won't vote in a program that doesn't. The automatic bid is that important.

  16. Apparently talk is that if Butler leaves the Horizon that Oakland would be the team added. Oakland was previously looked at as a candidate for the 10th team before Valparaiso, but Butler and Detroit blocked the move. Without Butler, UDM cannot apparently block the vote on their own.
  17. Pretty much. Bloc Quebecois retained only four seats in parliament in the 2011 election. NDP! NDP! NDP! I'm actually a great admirer of Jack Layton and was legitimately saddened when I heard of his death. As was I. If I were Canadian and of age, would have definitely voted for Mr. Layton in this past year's elections. My (Canadian) friend and I even "campaigned" for him down here in the States. "My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we?ll change the world."

  19. theflakeband's soccer templates should be here!
  20. I agree because it ruins the regular season to the point that it won't matter anymore. For example, a BCS No.4 who hasn't won their conference could win the Nat'l championship. That is the explanation why I think the playoff system is for college basketball not for football. And a BCS No. 3 who defeated multiple ranked teams and WON THEIR CONFERENCE didn't get a shot for the national title this year. While a team that DIDN'T WIN THEIR CONFERENCE JUST WON THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. You're an idiot. Stop posting.
  21. Those "reports" are just idiots on this board posting it. The Raptors make money because they sell tickets to the people who are too poor to go to Leafs games.
