  1. The Amberjacks have a great logo, but the wordmark is a complete ripoff of another team (which escapes me at the moment, but I'll find it). Other teams in the league have pretty weak identities.
  2. The motion W would look so much better without the drop shadow. I've always liked Wisconsin's unis when they look like a darker red, too, rather than the stock bright scarlet (the darker red look is due to lighting and shadows, not actual material differences).
  3. The Jaguars in all black look pretty good, especially in the December sun. Never thought I'd say that.
  4. The Northwest League logo is pretty nice... The Midwest League logo looks like it was designed on PowerPoint: "Give us 90s Anaheim Angels and a lot of Copperplate".
  5. I don't really like the Florida Gators' "stripe brand" anymore. For some reason I am more fond of the jersey and pant stripes used in the 90s. Plus, bring back the circular UF logo.
  6. Agreed. If you look at that logo, though, there are some really odd white areas (above the bat handles, below the bat handles, around the left shoulder...none of these white shapes go with anything at all in the logo).
  7. Possible Spoiler Alert: Baby Cakes was revealed to be the name on Twitter via a roster leak. Don't know if it was CC or Phil Hecken who posted/RT'd it.
  8. There are people on other boards who are adamant about "it must not be in the style guide!"
  9. Please don't tell us that "it's not in the style guide". That's not the issue. The issue is programmed slots that are in the game and use a logarithm based on team tendencies throughout the game's season (if that makes sense).
  10. MLB 16 The Show (the latest one) had the black and blue roundel Royals logo in the dugout. That logo hadn't been used in a long, long time.
  11. The Senators should be using the 2D logo on the pants...or even the jersey! Can't believe they've had that logo for 9 years in the shed and still say "nah, we like what we have".
  12. There is a happy medium where the minor league team has the same nickname as the parent, but the logos and wordmarks are different than the parent. Though I love Studio Simon's work with the Daytona Tortugas, the last iteration of the Daytona Cubs was pretty good. Parent affiliated, but not logo-copied.
  13. Looks like an homage to the ornate steelwork in the city (a la New Orleans NBA All Star logos).
  14. Wtf... Say it real fast, and you end up with "Bronies" (not that I'm saying anything negative about real Bronies). Logos are mediocre. The boxer logo sticks out horribly.
  15. Minor league teams in Florida had a decent stretch of great logos...but the logos for Kissimmee/Florida and Jacksonville are just so poorly designed. They hurt the eyes. That shrimp boil logo is just awful. The water wings (?) logo might be worse.
  16. Agreed (and with the other comments that followed). While we make fun of Brandiose for swinging everything, there's zero connection to the game of baseball in those three Lynchburg logos. The hats do look pretty nice though...the logos look better on a navy background than a gray background.
  17. This Kissimmee brand is pretty terrible. The generic beveled wordmark is awful, the logo is a C-, the name is one part copied, one part non-native, and the F hat logo is as bland as possible.
  18. Disagree (yes I know what thread this is). Without the piping, it's just another plain jersey with a wordmark. The piping is pretty awesome.
  19. There's something awesome about playoff day games, especially in the fall when the weather is usually great.
  20. I'm just wondering what kind of logos will be created for "Shaggers"...I don't think they thought that one through. Wood Ducks would get my vote.
