  1. ren69...you are incredibly talented. Well done with this whole thread. You should be hired by the CLC to update the Vault logos that are licensed to the apparel companies.
  2. Jesus. Do you also root for the villains in movies, and enjoy watching people from Walmart run small family-owned businesses out of existence too? Meh, I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I have nothing against mid-majors and underdogs in general, but I do feel like something is wrong whenever the Dukes and UCLAs of basketball are not relevant during the season. Same goes for the Yankees in baseball, Celtics and Lakers for NBA, and USC and Texas in college football. Exactly, I like the fact that the best teams stay on top. I enjoy Texas, Alabama, USC, Ohio State, LSU, and other well known teams to be ranked in NCAAF. In NCAAB I like it when MSU, OSU, Syracuse, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA, Arizona, and other well knowns do good. I dislike the "cinderella stories" in the tournament because they destroy what I like to see, old prestigious universities battling it out in March. You realize Duke was basically a glorified mid major until the 90s, right? And Ohio State is hardly a historic basketball power... unless you mean Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State had two tournament appearances in 30 years from 1960 to 1990. They might have been good in the 40s and 50s, but they weren't really good from then on until the 1990s. Not really a "traditional power" either.
  3. Didn't the mothership used to have old/throwback Tulane logos? The old T-wave, and the interlocked TU logo? NBA requests: Can we get the '80s Phoenix Suns and pre-1987 Washington Bullets uniforms up? Also, the 88-89 Hornets uniforms had the 88-89 "H-abstract bug" logo on the elastic of both the home and road shorts, which are not posted (always think of Kelly Tripucka). NHL requests: A lot of the older (80s/90s and before) wordmarks are missing. NFL requests: A lot of pre-2000 unis are missing.
  4. In one of the worst internet articles ever, Bradenton unveiled the 2014 Florida State All Star Game logo. It'd be great if the article that talks about the logo actually...you know...actually included the logo so we could see what it looked like. But the logo is in tiny form on the team's website. http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20131009&content_id=62739764&fext=.jsp&vkey=news_t3390&sid=t3390
  5. Is that really designed by Brandiose? I thought in the hockey thread we agreed that all cartoon ducks with curved bills were designed by and/or property of Disney? I smell a lawsuit comin'...where's BlueLion to get it started?????
  6. thats probably one of the biggest majorities around here.Anyone else think they'd look good with a white facemask? Absolutely, like they used to wear in the 80s-thru-1994.
  7. The more I see them, the more I like the Jaguars helmets. I don't think they will ever be popular, but for some reason I find the gold part pretty striking.
  8. The logo would get lost in the goldMaybe, maybe not. It'd be similar to the Texans. The Texans' logo doesn't get lost in the navy helmet, despite the logo being predominantly navy. The Texans is half & half the logo would get lost with the Jags and there is hardly any gold in the rest of the uni so you would see gold helmet black jersey, pants, & socks ugh! The Texans logo is not half & half, unless by "half & half" you really mean 70/30... Anyway, gold helmets with black jerseys and black pants can work. The socks don't have to be all black, I mean they can add color to them if they want...

  10. Most people think the Jaguars helmets should be solid black...I think they'd look great if it was all gold.
  11. I'd rather have it on the sleeves than the left chest like the Steelers and Jets have it. I just wish that if the logo is on the sleeves, have it be a big logo, not some penny-sized thing that's pretty lame.
  12. Hmm, I wonder if the canucks ever wore that salmon coloured third jersey against the avs. Possibly, but it took my 20 min just to find this picture. Yeah, the Avs did play the Canucks when the Canucks wore the red third jerseys. 1996-97 season. Will try to find a picture.
  13. I am actually curious about this one. I believe those Ravens uniforms (with the white pants) were used for two years- the same two years that the franchise was the TN Oilers. The Oilers played one year at Vandy (turf field, so this isn't it) and one in Memphis. They usually wore white for their home games during those two years, and since both teams were in the AFC Central at the time, this precise uniform matchup could have happened 4 times over those two years. I still wonder if this picture is from Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium or Memorial Stadium in Baltimore. Judging by the concrete wall in the background, I'm 100% sure it's the Liberty Bowl, September 21, 1997. McNair wore long sleeves in Baltimore in December, 1997. New stadium in Baltimore opened in 1998. This particular uniform matchup (white TN Oilers, purple/white Ravens with old logos) did happen all four times they met from '97-98.
  14. I wish the Washington Nationals would bring back gold trim. Keep the current road wordmark and home "W", but add a gold outline, plus add the gold back to the numbers. Right now it's just another bland red/navy team.
  15. The throwback yellow-green-yellow look is by far the best for Oregon. The Harrington and Clemons sets are close, but nothing beats the mid-to-late 90s look. Tonight, watching the Ravens, I'd say the black-purple-black is just awesome. So much better than purple jersey with white pants, and better than all black as well.
  16. I grew up with that helmet. I think it's one of the best helmets in the history of the NFL.
  17. What makes them ugly? I think you're the first person to ever say that, so I don't know if you're being contrary just for the hell of it...
  18. Cream jerseys really don't work in baseball. The Twins' throwback is the best, but the rest are just garbage. Give me "clean white" over "urine stain" any day.
  19. At least there's no black. If the intent here is what I think it is...classic I wonder if he figures it out. Mojo and Ryan, don't worry, I'm not talking about you guys when I say "he".
  20. No, what Admiral is saying that he's fine with 2-1 games that feature goalies standing on their head. What he's not fine with is a 2-1 game in which one or both teams have proceeded to erect a hockey Hindenburg Line through liberal use of obstruction and interference. It's impossible to think that hockey will consistently be offense offense offense offense. Teams will adapt, just as they always have. If I want to watch a whole bunch of bad no-check, no-strategy defense and odd-man rushes, I'll watch roller hockey or DVR the NHL All-Star Game and watch it until my eyes bleed.
  21. Ambulances aren't funded by the government. Ambulance costs are included in medical bills. Every municipal fire department has EMTs. Even Glendale, at least for now. They might have them, but the cost to send a patient from A to B in an ambulance is not paid by the government. Its a cost to the customer and insurance plan. The actual costs of the vehicle and the EMT services are certainly recouped over a short period of time through billing.
