  1. The inner white part is clearly a C. The blue part is an ugly C, but it's still a C. It is a C in the deformed possible sense. Honestly I've never looked at the white part, but it looking like a rectangular c doesn't justify the logo's existence.Ok, what justifies a logo's existence?

  3. The New York Giants had those new white pants in, what, 2013? I thought those were pretty sweet. Also...the more I watch highlights of the Buccaneers, the more I like the new helmet. The number font on the uniform still sucks, but the helmet is cool. It was a huge upgrade when they got rid of the matte black streaks and just used straight metallic pewter..
  4. For the Redbirds, the floating bat in Memphis's wordmark is a little odd to me as well.
  5. Colorado Eagles are staying put, as far as I know.
  6. I'm also guessing that the center ice logo at SAP Center will still be the NHL Sharks. Would they switch out the logo for the AHL team? Or is the AHL team going to be shark-based too?
  7. Will the San Diego team be the Admirals as well? San Diego has a bunch of Navy folks. If that happens, and Norfolk receives a team to be called Admirals...that's 3 minor league hockey teams with Admirals as a name. Hoping for San Diego Gulls. And does San Jose really need an NHL team and AHL team?
  8. Being that they're now the A's AAA affiliate can't say I'm worry to see the orange and black go. It didn't feel right having their top minor league team wearing their cross town on and off field nemesis' colors. Georgia is also one of Vanderbilt's nemeses. Yet...
  9. That number font screams "Reds" yet it's just different enought to be unique.
  10. Anyone know if that's the same font the Tiger-Cats used up until a few years ago? It is indeed. Also the same number font the Carolina Hurricanes used (Hurricanes didn't have the shadow, IIRC) from '97-2012.
  11. Hey Donovan (ColorWerx) - I found another old wordmark from the 80s that's not yet up on the mothership, this time Boston Bruins hockey...
  12. Don't believe I have that one... I'm guessing you've seen it somewhere just in being a sports fan...below is a pic of that mark for reference.
  13. The Oakland Athletics had a capitalized, italicized wordmark in the late 80s. I've seen it on random items, notably old tickets. Anyone have a good graphic for this website?
  14. That's a great hat. New Era, please make a low crown version... That actually looks like a low crown version. It looks like it has a similar build to my on-field Marlins hat.Nah, it's a regular 59fifty. Low crowns are noted on the label on the brim as such, plus the left and right seams "suck in" at the temples and then get wider at the top of the hat. Classic, regular 59fifty.
  15. Does anyone here own a Lake Elsinore hat? If so, is it a favorite? I rarely see it worn in and around towns...
  16. Are the Tortugas using light blue or gray/silver? Having trouble trying to figure what exact color that is...
  17. That OKLA logo had good intentions, but is probably one of the worst logos I've seen. Too clever and, therefore, too forced. The OK has no synergy with the LA.
  18. An alternate jersey that died out too quickly. BFBS or not...that was one of my favorite uniforms. Funny, though, that we'd probably say "Oh man...just another team jumping on the black jersey trend" if it was released today.
  19. It's amazing how many minor league teams are starting to look eerily similar. While the cartoony mascots are unique...the presentations and stylings of hats and wordmarks are approaching rinse-wash-repeat status.
  20. I guess it's kerning...but I had never noticed the s's in the wordmark are different shapes. The bottom base is longer and a little thicker on the last s than the other one.
  21. I have no idea how popular or unpopular that opinion is but I really, really don't like that logo. Is it the worst? I don't know, but it's close. You don't like the cleverness of the logo? I just like how most people think it's WSC and not WSU, and the thing is, when WSU was Washington State College, there was a WSC version of it. http://trademarks.wsu.edu/LogoHistory.html It's not a great helmet logo. and I'm biased, but I don't think it's the worst logo in D1. The Cougars script was far better on the helmets.
  22. Just what I've found - Kansas City Chiefs all-lowercase wordmark, used in the 70s and 80s (IIRC). College helmet decal logos from 80s and 90s for many schools - Arizona, East Carolina, Tulane, TCU, Wake Forest, et al.
  23. Our Constitution starts the same way Yeah, but Jefferson also spelled it "happinefs" in the Declaration of Independence, so maybe let's not pay attention to them for 21st century grammar and spelling. it wasn't "happinefs" because the f in "of" is completely different. If anything, it's closer to a j, but stroke-wise, it's still an s. Just not a normal cursive s.
  24. It's not unheard of, either. Those were the three that came to mind. I'm sure there are more.
