  1. 450!!!! Wow! That certainly beats my collection. Pretty sure I have around 100.
  2. @OnWis97 Interesting that you have some regrets about one that you gave away. That's something that had crossed my mind. I appreciate the insight.
  3. I love that the bottom left lightning bolt is actually NY where NBC studios is located, and above it is a W for WNBC, which is the radio official call letters.
  4. That's actually pretty neat. Would love to see the '30 NBC hat.
  5. I'm considering eventually building out a segment of the basement into a mini man cave/entertainment space. There's no rush, but that idea could work! Thanks!
  6. Love this idea to give one away to a gift if someone's over. I hadn't thought of that. I appreciate it, thanks!
  7. I joined CCSLC waaaay back in 2005. I was 25 years old at the time, and I had a growing jersey collection. I wore jerseys out to brunch, just hanging out around the house, when I'd go to games (remember when they used to be much less expensive to go to), etc. I remember Champion NBA jerseys going for about $45, authentic Russell Athletic MLB jerseys going for $115, and MLB New Era caps went for around $15-20. Those seem like clearance sale prices today! Fast-forward to today, and I have a guest room closet full of all those jerseys I collected way back when. The problem is...I barely have time to wear them now. I'm in my 40s, I'm married, and I have a toddler. I'm either in work clothes, or I'm wearing clothing my kid get his hands all over after he spent 20 minutes squishing raspberries and blackberries between his tiny fingers. This stage of life means there's much less time to go to the gym, hang out with your friends, go to games...even watch sports on TV (sometimes I can get an inning or two of baseball in before I'm asked for Sesame Street or Miss Rachel). So...that means my jerseys are now spending a lot of time just hanging around. I've been thinking about what to do with them because I do love the collection. I spent a lot of time getting to where I am now. I feel like there are a lot of options, but I just don't know which direction I want to go yet. A - Keep them, and eventually hand them down to your son. You spent the time collecting them. If you get an opportunity to wear them from time-to-time, great. If not, one day your kid will love the chance to wear his father's 1992 Michael Jordan or 1994 Shaq jersey to school when it's the year 2037. B - Sell some of them. Most of them have probably gone up in value, and there's a solid market for them on eBay. Keep the ones that are local teams you can wear to games on occasion. C - I have a younger cousin who would probably love them D - Do nothing/keep collecting even if you don't wear them as much. Just because the current life phase doesn't allow for much jersey-wearing, you don't know what the future holds. Open to everyone's thoughts/ideas/suggestions. Thanks!
  8. Absolutely. I have been collecting jerseys for years, and I have probably half of the MLB, I have an authentic '91 LA Rams, I have a Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, and Shawn Kemp Champion jersey. Now...I don't collect nearly as much as I used to (I'm now 43 years old), but I would have to imagine there are others like me who just collect their favorite jerseys no matter what team. And yes, I have plenty of jerseys from the teams I do truly love (the logos of which are in my signature).
  9. I don't know if anyone saw this (and I looked through the thread & didn't see it mentioned), but last week Dan Marino was interviewed about the Miami Dolphins throwback uniforms. Everyone keeps saying they should wear them full time for the 2024 season and beyond. Marino actually agreed that they should change back full time, but said the owner probably has no intention of doing so: https://www.sun-sentinel.com/2024/02/17/will-the-dolphins-ever-switch-back-to-their-old-uniforms-dan-marino-certainly-hopes-so/. “I don’t think he will because that was kind of his baby,” Marino told PFT Live. “You know what I mean? I’d like to see them come back too, because they look great, especially when we have those games where we’re wearing the throwbacks. But, at the same time, he owns the team . . . I don’t think he wants to hear that question anymore. Just better leave it alone." Kind of unfortunate given the throwbacks look so much better. Everyone loves them, but the owner has this whole, "This is MY team, and they're going to represent ME in MY era" attitude. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJxSjOQ_GFE"> </iframe>
  10. It still kills me that after all this time, the two-color version of the Miami Dolphins original wordmark still doesn't exist on this site: https://archive.org/details/dolphins-1989-media-guide-miamiOther Media
  11. The irony here, to me, is that a company that spells Quick...Q-U-I-K...is going to help people read better.
  12. Unfortunately, you could probably say that about the majority of businesses today. I also fully realize that by stating this, I sound like an old man yelling at a cloud.
  13. In 1996 it seemed the country was behind the Panthers because: Colorado had just left Quebec, so Canadians were mad at them The Year of the Rat was a spectacular story They were just scrappy and fun to watch/nobody on the team you could hate In 2023, it'll be return of the Panthers vs. the youngest team in the league. I wonder if people will be into Vegas or Florida...or neither. Either way, I'm stoked. LET'S GO CATS! It's great to be an OG fan this year! 1993 2006 - Employee 2015 - First Time STH 2018 2023 LAST NIGHT
  14. Who else still has yet to release their classic jerseys? I know Miami hasn't, but they're supposed to go with these...
  15. I like it. I mean it's not perfect (nor was their original logo), but it's still an upgrade. It's basically a merge of old and new branding, so it stays "on brand." The font's even updated from the original from 1947. I applaud that they didn't let themselves get too corporate because it's ice cream. That should have some personality to it because ice cream should be fun! Here's the history of their past logos:
  16. I just noticed Petco rebranded...and this was over a year ago! Maybe only recently they started updating the stores with the new imaging: Old vs. New I feel like this was kind of unnecessary. The font change was very minimal. They just went from whimsical to corporate by removing the cat and the dog. The problem, here, is it's a pet store. If it was an insurance company, I get the need for corporate-looking. I think when it comes to stores that cater to pets, children/babies, etc. whimsical actually set a better tone. At a minimum, at least make the empty space in the P or O have a paw print. Anyways, that's my two cents.
  17. ....and now that I'm thinking of it, maybe we should do the same thing for the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League? https://www.lvbp.com/
  18. I just came back from a trip to Puerto Rico where I had the chance to stop and see Estadio Hiram Bithorn. I've been doing more research into the "Liga de BĂ©isbol Profesional Roberto Clemente," which is the Puerto Rican professional baseball winter league, and I noticed we don't have ANY of their teams on Sportslogost.net. Puerto Rico has contributed so much to Major League Baseball that I'm rather surprised. So below I have listed some of the current and former teams, and I was wondering if someone could put together a whole Puerto Rico wing to add to the site since we already have Japan, Korea, etc. I think PR is certainly deserving. 19. Looking way back at a post I made in 2013, it looks like this version of the Dolphins logo was still never added to the library. I'd also like to add these workmark/alternate logos: Also, this logo is now FAU's primary logo:
  20. Looks like it's time to update the Gators page here on SportsLogos.net to include the white helmet, the white throwback from last year, the blue throwback from this year, and now this blue helmet: https://www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/675/Florida_Gators/
  21. When it comes to Florida's Big Three schools (UF, UM, and FSU) classic is the way to go. There was never a need to mess with it. Miami went back to what they should have always had, and FSU should do the same. You want fun, dynamic uniforms? That's left for UCF, USF, FAU, and FIU.
  22. THE OFFICE BAD BOYS II SEAQUEST DSV WAYNE'S WORLD MR. 3000 THE FAN Van Damme in SUDDEN DEATH FOR LOVE OF THE GAME HEAVEN CAN WAIT 42
  23. Miami Dolphins 80s and 90s two-tone wordmark is missing. Currently only the single-color wordmark is listed.
