  1. Sammy's corked bat was really bad optics at the time, but it's been proven and is now very well known corked bats have zero effect on how far a baseball travels. Why he's not honored by the Cubs, doesn't have his jersey retired? If i had to speculate, it's because Sammy lied the ownership about his HGH exploits and hard/awkward feelings have just carried over to present-day.
  2. Based on everything we're seeing, sounds like the Cowboys got preferential treatment () from the helmet companies. Giants and Rams forced into midnight blue helmets while the Cowboys were given custom silvery-blue helmets.
  3. This is pretty much where I lost interest in baseball. And I just knew they were going to do that, as well. This sport has become such an absolute farce. David Ortiz tests positive in the 2003 anonymous PED screening. David Ortiz doesn't test positive before or after that '03 test. David Ortiz gets the red carpet treatment at Cooperstown. Sammy Sosa tests positive in the 2003 anonymous PED screening. Sammy Sosa never tests positive before or after that '03 test. Sammy Sosa is blackballed form MLB and never sniffs Cooperstown.
  4. They let Big PEDy David Ortiz thru the doors. Sosa should be there too.
  5. I've truthfully never tried Sierra Mist. When Sprite exists, why?
  6. And that's not even true, because Mike Trout plays in Los Angeles. It's a Yankees thing and nothing else. I don't even think if Judge were a Met or Red Sock there would be this much media dickriding
  7. Still half-expecting tv networks to break in to see if he can add to his AL ReCoRd
  8. OMG he's 7th all-time!!!!!!!!!!!! Throw a ticker tape parade!!!!!!!!!!
  9. 49ers-Saints: Same shade of gold. Giants-Rams-Bears: Same shades of navy. Cowboys-Lions: Definitely different silvers.
  10. Props for the info, but was actually asking if this was the case pre-90s -- back when the Giants and Rams were forced to use dark blue helmets with royal blue unis.
  11. Having recently learned about how things were back way back when, I have some questions... - Were the mid-90s Eagles the first team to get their own 'non-standard-issue' helmet color? - Did the Cowboys not have a bluish-silver, or was it the same standard silver used by the Raiders, Lions, etc? - I always wondered if the 49ers and Saints has the same shade of gold. The Saints always looked a little more bronze-ish.
  12. The shoulders and sleeves really need work. Aside from that they're pretty decent.
  13. Should not be worn along with any uniform that puts off a traditional vibe (thus, anything the Saints currently wear) It's clearly a modern helmet and should be paired with a uni that was pumped out sometime this century. #HFHS
  14. FOX really tried to play up the "Traditional rivals" thing leading into the game -- but Washington looks like a damn expansion team. Not to mention there really aren't any star players that have carried over from 2019 when they were known as the slur-name.
  15. Full-time GIANTS throwbacks (with dark navy helmet) almost seem inevitable now. I do how the strength of SBs 42 and 46 keep these current unis going for a bit longer tho. Imo the best set they've had (when with grey pants) and aesthetically 100000x superior
  16. Or they've already worn that combo this year and just wanted to mix it up ?
