  1. That color scheme for UTEP is so good, they should go to it full time.
  2. All of those B1G uniforms look great except for Minnesota, because of Flecking course
  3. I miss when NBA teams had all sorts of interesting collar designs. The way Nike keeps going with plain sleeve cuffs and collars just makes everything look so cheap and bland. Pelicans uniform here is no exception.
  4. I like these. The helmet looks really good. The uniform its paired with is fine. I think there’s still this aversion to NFL becoming like CFB and teams blurring the lines of having a core home and away look, but the uniform isn’t bad. I wouldn’t come close to comparing this to the Lions, who have both an unusual helmet and a very unusual/bad grey alt and stuck them together non-sensibly. This alternate for Denver looks polished, it just doesn’t look like the Broncos to me.
  5. The distinction I would like to see between the two schools is that Illinois is blue, orange and white while Syracuse should be orange and blue with minimal white. I'm not sure why but I was a huge fan of this look for Syracuse (and materially could probably get a much more vibrant color of orange + lighting is better since Carrier Dome renovations). To me, Illinois in contrast looks best like this: And as so many have pointed out: Yeah, at this point, the two schools need to actually get together and pick lanes, because it absolutely has seemed like Illinois has been just copying Syracuse's homework the last decade or so.
  6. Yeah, Illinois looks enough like how they should look for my satisfaction. Their previous uniforms were so bad, I am kind of surprised we are getting complaints here.
  7. Yeah, the Angels current branding has really good bones, wheras that throwback may get an ovation just b/c it's a throwback and different -- but let's be real, that cap logo isn't good, neither is the wordmark. There's nothing special about those. If the Angels would add some sky blue where grey is in their current set, fix the red jersey to have color contrast, they would be perfect.
  8. Very nice from Louisiana Tech! Also LOVE the Ohio State alternates, those are kind of a no-brainer and surprised it took them this long to roll them out, but I am annoyed they are wearing them against a team that will be in all-white. I would prefer that alternate for them to be a road option, but I understand them wanting to wear it at home. Would have picked an opponent that was likely to be in colored pants and helmets though.
  9. On an unrelated note, the Falcons posted this: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cu7ox-FPB3W/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== “23 years of players to choose from” yet the helmet in that iteration only was worn for four years. It’s also hilarious how many fans are posting “Vick!” It really is amazing how we on these boards are probably all crazy for knowing details of football uniforms, and equally as crazy that some people think Michael Vick wore those at some point. These boards are more of a place for therapy for us than we realize.
  10. also, this ENTIRE hour I have thought the pants stripe was truncated at the top, kind of like how the pro combat stripes used to be finally clicked that both player models were wearing a f---ing stupid baggy undershirt, and the fact NFL teams don't even care about this when unveiling a uniform is as telling as anything else.
  11. wow someone has never done an Indiana night before.
  12. for the people who say "nah these go too hard" whenever anything new is released, regardless of whether it looks good or not.
  13. omg, idk how it never occurred to me this is precisely why that happened -- and this is also why Washington has black in its road uniform. The NFL's incredibly ad hoc uniform rules are creating unintended consequences.
  14. Even a blue helmet in the satin style like Georgia State has, with a black facemask, would make this a really awesome alternate. The entire black shell just feels forced, like they just had to join the club with all the other dumb teams like Arizona, Philly, Carolina, New Orleans, etc.
  15. To be fair, Washington's entire set being three different gimmicks is kind of where the flood gates opened.
  16. I've always liked the idea of the Colts wearing shoulder stripes in that fashion. In fact, this jersey has some serious similarities to a concept I have done: The black helmet is so meh, especially b/c it just clearly feels like BFBS. The heathered jersey is really nice and is going to sell well, and we have to remind ourselves that's the biggest goal in all of this. Money talks. But I am sorry -- what in the world does "Those Indiana boys in those Indiana nights" mean?
  17. We used locomotives to perfectly explain the Seahawks uniforms I'll never forget this day
  18. If the Colts do go for this "night mode" fad, that would be 10 teams in the league with an all-black option (and the only reason it wouldn't be 11 is the Saints' especially bad black helmet can't be worn with their especially bad leotard home uniform). The only teams where I like the all-black look is the Ravens. For some reason thinking back to night games with them in those, it hits different. Literally nobody else should wear black from head to toe. It just reeks of attention-grabbing for a Tuesday or Thursday night MAC game on ESPN2, or an overnight order for a high school team that has a big rivalry game and needs some extra fuel or whatever the hell. Just doesn't look right for the NFL
  19. From my count now, 18 out of 32 teams will have a throwback option in 2023. This is excluding the Bills, who did not wear their throwbacks last season. Eleven have a contemporary post-helmet rule addition, confirmed at least. With how things have popped up frequently the last few days, would not be shocked if there's one or two more surprises.
  20. I don't like the Hawks uniforms. The striping on the side is too busy, the font is lifeless, not a fan of the white jersey saying "ATLANTA" instead of "HAWKS" and the logo on top of the stripes on the shorts looks like a sticker because the line width thickness doesn't agree with the stripes (the logo should be sitting on the front of the short leg where it can breath instead of on top of the stripes). Going to a classic look was smart but they're pretty forgettable.
  21. It's hard to believe we are already going into Year 4 of those. I don't think they're nearly as terrible as the general public does, but I do wish they would just wear a traditional looking uniform.
  22. It sadly could be that they are wearing these once and then wearing the dumb all-purple color rush twice.
  23. I understand why they added some detail to it. If they unveiled just straight white helmets to be true to history, a lot of fans wouldn't get it and make fun of it. This is more congruent and will certainly draw a "oooooh icy white swag" from the pudding brains, it's a win-win.
