The Cowboys badly just need to standardize with a refresh. Get everything under the same uniform palette. More than half of the fans out there won't even notice a difference.

If they could take ATL off the front, relegate the all-black to a "one or twice a season" combo like they did with the all-black 2003-2008, and get rid of the white socks, they would look great. I am not entirely on board with red socks b/c the road numerals are black (red road numbers + red socks would be great, kind of an inverse of the home/road logic that they had with the previous uniform set). But the helmet just looks freaking amazing in the MBS lighting, and when they are in black-over-white they look really good. I still will hold out for them to one day go back to primary red helmets and uniforms, but out of all the Nike redesigns that we have seen, the Falcons are one of the better ones in my opinion (yes, that may not be saying much, but still).

I'm tired of people claiming Ole Miss has the best or "cleanest" uniforms. They look like a high school team most of the time because of how there's no agreement with striping conventions. I mean, the red helmet they wore in Week One would have matched the jersey and pants they wore at Tulane, but they chose a game against another team wearing powder blue to add powder blue details but only in the helmet. Just nonsensical.

That makes no sense.

That color scheme for the Suns is phenomenal.

This is seriously depressing. Jaguars used to have one of the best uniforms in the NFL. Now they look like a team that would be called the Panthers, ironically enough.

In terms of "inspiration," it is obvious at this point that Nike has a suite, if you will, or new design elements that it builds and signs off on for possible production agnostic of whether or not it has been assigned to a specific team or project. Then, Nike informs the client about all the possible "innovations" like perforated numbers, or the colored stitching the Browns used a few years ago, or the gradient for the Falcons, etc. From our perspectives, we would think you design around the team, but it's unfortunately the other way around -- the team picks from a pot of features that Nike can create. It is then on Nike and the client's marketing folks to concoct some type of speak or justification for it. In the Cardinals case, there's conveniently some paneling with holes in it that became the "inspiration" for the design (sounds silly and is probably B.S.) In the Falcons' case, it was very convenient that the triangle stripe -- a common and stale design element -- just so happened to exist in the Falcons logo, so it was a no-brainer. But that stripe has existed in Nike uniforms for the Jaguars (in two different iterations), Buccaneers, and Jets already -- Nike seems only capable of these cheap triangular inserts when they need to make something look sleek. In an ideal world, all of the projects would start with the team identity and work out into elements, but that just isn't what has been happening in the NFL. The only time I believe it did was with Seattle, and there's a reason why their uniforms stand out as an outlier compared to the absolutely bizarre choices other teams made when they went to Nike willing to act as a canvas as opposed to mandating a specific look.

I would forgive FOX for abetting the downfall of democracy if it would dump that scorebug by tomorrow morning. It's not even a score "bug," it's a score infestation. What in the actual what were they thinking???

I agree about Utah. Take the contrasting sleeve caps away and make the Ute-stripe consistent, and you've got a modern classic.

Florida not having an orange-orange-white & and an orange-blue-orange game makes me sad. Never really cared for any of the other combinations, especially throwing in the alternate helmets, but they gotta rock the orange jerseys and pants at least a few times

Minnesota vs. Arizona looked terrible. If what we saw from the Panthers and MIN/ARZ is any indicator, the NFL is going to look worse this season than ever. The washed out white leggings look apparently taking over the league. It just looks so hilariously bad, and I am actually kind of shocked that the NFL hasn't legislated against it.

NFL needs to crack down on this type of stuff. What ever happened to the days when refs would make players tuck their jerseys in?

The Packers need to update off the mesh jerseys, if they went to the new template all they would need to do is go with a solid collar and make the sleeve stripes bigger in scale, which would be welcomed anyways.

Unnecessary. They already are wearing the throwbacks 3 times, so there will be 5 home games to either wear black-white, black-black or all-white at home. Black over white is the only combination in my opinion that looks good. The red pants have the problem of the side stripe being black, which defeats the entire purpose of the "stoop" stripe design. Might explain why we haven't seen them. As far as I understood what happened, the red pants were photoshopped for the Nike press release but weren't ever produced.

Scene: Old helmet logo calls the marketing office: "Listen...I just need you to find 11,780 votes...which is one more than we have...because frankly, we won."

Marlins park in its first iteration was a joke. The home run sculpture looked like a Lisa Frank backpack and the lime green walls on TV were impossible to look at. Also, the brand was just as bad. The most colorful jersey was the orange one, which was mostly orange and black, which is fit for the Orioles -- not a Miami team. The new brand is great, their uniforms are just terrible and need to be replaced with something more vibrant.

Delaware State should not be able to get away with blatantly ripping off the Hornets. It's beyond obvious.

That helmet really is beautiful, not going to lie. The fact the horse is white and the color orientation between the logo and helmet stripe are agreeable, it's nice. Just would prefer the Broncos to look like the old Broncos, but this is not the worst of the alternates -- not close, in my opinion.

Saints, take notes.
