  1. I wouldn't go typical reebok garbage. YOu could say they were terrible, and that wouldn't raise an issue(even though I disagree), but they aren't like what reebok did in 07 They have the dreaded Bettman piping and armpit panels, and there isn't even a hem stripe on the black sweater. It's pretty standard Reebok crap.
  2. Meh. The Kings' uniforms still look like typical Reebok garbage even with the two Cups, and the Mavericks' uniforms still looked as bad in 2011 as they did in 2010.
  3. It's a horribly dated look that was bad when it first came out. The "but they won a title in those!" logic doesn't really work when you remember that they also wore them during the 2006 Finals and the 2007 Warriors series.
  4. FWIW, if I ever get around to finishing my NBA series, I plan on bringing back the 1997-2010 color scheme, but with an emphasis on that beautiful "Golden Gate Orange" color they used.
  5. RE: modernizing the FloJo's - I made this concept a few months ago:
  6. Remember that Canucks prototype that showed up on eBay back in July? The matching home sweater has now surfaced: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-BLUE-AUTHENTIC-REEBOK-VANCOUVER-CANUCKS-PROTOTYPE-HOCKEY-JERSEY-SZ-56-/191501598051?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item2c96627d63
  7. It'd be great if not for how badly they bungled the shorts design.
  8. Also, I agree that the Yankees' uniforms are extremely overrated. I don't care that it's "traditional," there's no excuse for a professional organization to be using at least three different versions of the same logo at once: The cap version is clearly the best and should be the only one used across the board.
  9. Stole the words out of my mouth. They use about 4 too many colours and the striping is inconsistent. They're far from terrible but certainly not the "end all be all" of hockey uniforms. Totally agree. This should be their full-time home sweater:
  10. Apparently this was a proposed road uniform for Boise State that the school turned down:
  11. Looks almost like the template from Buffalo's Turdburgers. I'm pretty sure that's a jacket, something along the lines of this:
  12. Apparently the Islanders' Edge 1.0 sweaters were supposed to have orange front/back numbers and navy TV numbers:
  13. I know it's hard to believe, but there are indeed uniforms that Oregon rejects: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RAREST-OF-RARE-NIKE-OREGON-DUCKS-PROTOTYPE-SIGNED-PHIL-KNIGHT-FOOTBALL-JERSEY-/381056441251?pt=US_NCAA_Fan_Shop&hash=item58b8bbdba3 And yes, it's real. Oregon previewed their 2006-2010 uniforms with this exact prototype number font in the 2005 Civil War:
  14. Disagree. I think their current sleeve stripes are fine. Maybe add a silver outline and that's it.
  15. You're still new to this NHL thing, so I'll give you some free advice. Never underestimate the depths to which the NHL will sink to in order to land owners. Sad as it may be? I wasn't surprised in the least to hear the NHL was considering the Maloofs.Oh, I know all about Spano, Boots DelBiaggio, Kokusai Green, et al. The Maloofs getting serious consideration is not a surprise.
  16. In a league that at the time included Sterling, Dolan, Kohl, Cohan, Bennett, and Sarver, the Maloofs were considered the worst owners in the NBA during most of their time in the league. In GaryWorld, this apparently makes them a qualified candidate.
  17. I would like to see an MLB team try the shoulder-stripes look you often see in college full-time: The only time I remember any MLB team trying it was Cleveland with their BP jerseys in the early 2000s:
  18. Nah, the unpopular opinion on those would be the other way around. Personally, I wish the Cowboys would adopt that and the white version as their full-time uniforms.
  19. This sweater was nowhere near as bad as people claimed it was at the time:
  20. Exactly... the fonts single-handedly ruin the uniform. If they went with something that didn't look like an amateurish free font, it would be a fine uniform.
  21. I actually like that. The shoulder stripes recall a jersey that the PCL Angels wore in the '50s: Get rid of the pinstripes, put a matching "Anaheim" wordmark on the road, and it's a good, distinctive look.
  22. They wore it for two Sunday games in 1997, one against the Royals and another against the Rangers. That's why they're called the "Dairy Queen" jerseys, because the ESPN announcers coined that name during one of the games.
  23. I actually like the first Oilers prototype, as the shape of the piping resembles the oil drop in their logo. They should have gone with something like that instead of the glorified practice jerseys or the garish throwbacks.
  24. Does anyone have the customized version of Trajan's numbers that Kansas used to use on their football jerseys? Also, is it just me, or is their NOB font from their basketball jerseys customized as well?
