  1. Please ditch the number font and the black and let us have a normal uniform. you know what, ditch the yellow and white helmets also.
  2. This was probably touched on when it happened, but it's news to me. I wanted to see how the Celtics got Isaiah Thomas, out of curosity as he's been pummeling the team I love dearly. And I see in the 3 way deal that sent him to Boston, the Celtics sent Tayshaun Prince to the Pistons?? Whaaa? You'd think if anything it would go the other way around. I don't recall Prince on Boston at all. I honesty figured it was a typo. But sure enough I looked it up and Prince played 9 games with the Celtics in 2014. February 19, 2015: As part of a 3-team trade, traded by the Phoenix Suns to the Boston Celtics; the Boston Celtics traded Tayshaun Prince to the Detroit Pistons; the Boston Celtics traded Marcus Thornton and a 2016 1st round draft pick to the Phoenix Suns; and the Detroit Pistons traded Gigi Datome and Jonas Jerebko to the Boston Celtics. (PHO 2016 1st round pick received from BOS is CLE's pick and is top-10 protected.)
  3. Regular season eastern conference champions is embarrassing. Take those down and bring back the Mystics attendance banners
  4. 3 banners for ONE season is ridiculous. Especially considering they didn't make it out of the first round of the playoffs in 2010.
  5. I noticed that the Pelicans' dopey Marti Gras uniforms have re-colored logos on them. These are not on the mother ship but perhaps they should be
  6. More shots from Spring Training RA Dickey, Brandon Phillips - Braves: Matt Holliday - Yankees:
  7. Baseball is back. Here are a few early PITWU from Spring Training photo shoots. Clay Buckholtz and Howie Kendrick - Phillies: Dexter Fowler - Cardinals:
  8. Didn't you ever see the word "drawer" written tho? Especially the lawyer, I'm sure drawer has appeared in case studies that they've read. "The bloody knife was stashed in a sock in the drawer." something like that. I'm surprised to hear all this, but it is interesting.
  9. Just curious, does anyone else pronounce crayon as "crown"? I do. I've gotten a lot of s for it. I've been bullied into just quietly muttering it whenever the rare occasion happens where crayons are brought up. I guess it's kinda low brow, but it's just always what I've called them. Hah, low brow makes me think of: "oh yeah???" and "come here a minute". Hey, happy Friday guys.
  10. Yeah I'm gonna be the curmudgeon who says it: Can we all agree that Jeff Bagwell did steroids? Ps these were terrible Astros uniforms
  11. I disagree, I think the older one looks better. Maybe just clean up the wordmarks. The older one had heart. This is how I imagine the new identity being made:
  12. Wow, I didn't know he was on the Cubs. Long live this thread. Regarding tonight's NLDS... Justin Turner as an Oriole: Rich Hill as a National:
  13. Yikes. Now I think that one is prettyyyyy darn unpopular
  14. Can we try and label all players we add to this? I love sports as much as the next guy, but I'll admit some of these guys aren't instantly recognizable. With that I'll add Shawn Springs. Right team, wrong uniform:
  15. Pudge Rodriguez (although I'll admit that he may have multple "right" uniforms) Juan Gonzalez Josh Hamilton
  16. Agreed. As a WVU fan, this my favorite uniform of ours:
  17. Looks under the facemask to me, like it's the beginning stages of a horse collar tackle. Regardless, it's a great pic.
  18. Looks like he also had the misfortune of catching a nasty stiff arm by Elway. That'd probably be a penalty in today's NFL. Did "hands to the face" exist then? Aw well, I'm sure they'd let John Elway get away with it.
  19. Colin Rea is being sent back to the Padres after 3.1 innings with the Marlins
  20. I couldn't care less about those stats. If 99% of casual football fans wouldn't be aware of (or care about) those stats, how is that a helpful indicator at all that he should be known as a Bronco? He spent 13 years of a Hall of Fame career in Indianapolis. Denver is his wrong uniform. If his HoF bust had a hat on it, he wouldn't even hesitate before picking a Colts hat. I think you might be doing a bit though, fishing for dopey overreactions like mine. If so, well done.
  21. Possibly unpopular opinion: This uniform is better than what they currently wear.
  22. The word brilliant being used veryyyyy lightly there. I imagine one of the guys who made this uniform reading this from the visiting room at the psych ward, one of their few remaining loved ones has shoved a laptop under their nose to show them Lights Out's friendly comment about something they designed many years back -- and in his head he can't help but think: did I really put that logo on the shoulders to emulate football style uniform stripes? I can't remember? I think I just added the logo on the shoulders cause that's what every hockey uniform had at the time... but then he puffs out his chest and says "yep! That's what we were going for all along! Football uniform!" And as he's getting carted away back to his room, the loved one who visited him begins to think that maybe he should have designed a hockey uniform that looked like a hockey uniform, not a football uniform -- further reaffirming the family choice to send him to the ward in the first place.
