I'd imagine that the Reebok Edge disasters soured everyone on that color scheme. How do you go from

That's only part of it. The other larger part was that sports design was trending away from the darker colors when the Stars redesigned. No idea why they threw out gold in favor of silver, but kelly/black/silver feels more authentically vintage (see Eagles) than the dark green/black/muddy gold scheme.

I definitely remember. He was actually a draw as IC champion. Fans would fill arenas hoping that would be the night he would finally lose the belt. That pop the Warrior got at Summerslam 88 was unreal.

Yeah, it’s probably my recency bias talking when I say that HTM had any measure of “go away” heat. I didn’t see Honky in his prime beyond old clips. Rather, I’m much more familiar with this Honky:

Shoot Honky definitely has “go away” heat, even though it’s hilarious to watch him rage at everybody he’s ever worked with in the business. This compilation doesn’t even include the clip of him going off on the REDACTED case or the aforementioned theory about Rick Rude’s death!

But back to the Warriors: I’m pretty sure Draymond has “go away” heat, even in his own fan base!

  3. I’m more familiar with shoot interview Honky, where he jokes about Rick Rude’s dick falling off and is generally a jerk.

But as you said, prime Honky was all heel heat. I can’t believe he was brought in as a babyface at the start of his WWF run.

Draymond might return tomorrow afternoon for the Warriors game in Memphis. That's going to be a :censored: storm. Grizzlies fans hate him probably more than any fan base.

    Bring it on!

I like comparing the Warriors to HTM, mostly because of how he's the perfect balance between heel heat and "go away" heat.

Take this with a grain of salt, but I've heard before that there's incentive for YouTubers to post videos that go past the 10:00 mark. What that incentive is, I dunno, I haven't done content creation there (yet), but when you see guys like JG9 who absolutely spaces his videos out with unnecessary detail and whatever, just know that there's likely a specific reason for it.

Usually it's to boost metrics like viewer engagement time and to insert more ads (why I'm thankful I pay for YouTube Premium). Also, making multi-part videos is disincentivized by the YouTube algorithm - this is why view counts drop for each additional part of a multi-part production.

But there's also the people who just love to hear themselves talk and haven't abandoned their essay-writing habits of waste words to fill word counts.

Somebody thinks he's Eli or Elway... 🙄

It was only a matter of time before a promising QB refused to go to the QB graveyard. Good for him and hopefully others follow his example.

They better have someone ready to go.

    Harbaugh or bust.

Be careful what you wish for, because Captain Rabies would probably wind up making things worse in Seattle.

Flush the B.S?   Is there anyone in the NFL more full of B.S. than this addle brained pinhead?

    Not really, no.

What is it with Packers QB’s going crazy as they get older?

Brock broke a passing yards record (he only played 16 games, it counts) for a team that once employed Joe Montana and Steve Young.

The previous record holder was Jeff Garcia, a B+ quarterback when he was on the Niners.

If you really hate Brock Purdy that much and refuse to give the MVP to him, give it to CMC. But don't tell me Lamar should win it in a landslide. Because that's just disrespectful to Purdy and CMC.

And Tyreek Hill. As far as value for their team goes, Tyreek has been the guy to get a relatively-limp Dolphins team into a playoff spot.

Nothing against CMC, Purdy, or Lamar, but Tyreek should be given just as much consideration.
