  1. Agreed on needing an outline. It does feel like almost a rough draft in a way, or a prototype.
  2. Agreed on that blue script! Like someone previously mentioned, this set up is just screaming that they will have the following: white primary home Pinstripe alternate navy alternate powder blue alternate grey away. considering the stadium was half powder blue jerseys in the stands the last few years, they gotta keep it!
  3. Pins on just the away would seem odd to me, especially if they are looking for a more consistent set of uniforms. Which is one of the biggest issues with the now old set. Consistency!
  4. Agreed. They did say they wanted a timeless look. Script, this new TC logo, and some consistent uniforms will make me a happy man.
  5. Agreed, it’s gotta be the City Connect. Their president mentioned finding a permanent identity they could use for years to come. It’s going to be the new modified script that’s been around, TC on the hat, and maybe some modified other logos. it will look more uniform and consistent. The M with the star has got to be the one off, or even an alternate mark.
  6. I grew up following them as my Grandpa was a die hard Hokie. I did find the name odd, but going to football games has really changed my perspective. So fun, and now I love the name.
  7. I think this looks better. I know everyone here in Charlotte loves the throwback word mark, but I appreciate the cleaner more modern look. This is coming from someone who normally hates when teams simplify their word marks ie the Timberwolves.
  8. Or they can just…not look for a new sponsor and start a trend
  9. They would also look better if they did a whole rebrand instead!
  10. Minnesota looked awful, but played great today. They have too many options now. Why go black when there are 10 other combos that use their actual colors that look better?
  11. DET. A pointless cash grab to show the fans that “they care”. I'm with many others that abbreviations like that are dumb. Especially with colors that just don’t resemble Detroit. When I pull up a stream with Detroit playing, I’m not going to be able to recognize them. They could literally be any other team with how these statement and city uniforms are trending.
  12. Awesome for Tennessee. Not sure how I feel about new designs the following years though. Not much of a need for that when the Smokey greys are already so darn cool looking!
  13. Same here, it looks awful. Ruins one of the best looking sets out there in my biased opinion. I hear it’ll be on all fan shop jerseys once the season starts.
  14. Some minimalistic design is good. Lots of college football teams have really improved by minimizing the loudness they had on some of their stuff. However, it’s not always the best route in my opinion. This feels just like a safe, underwhelming attempt to make the fans happy. I’m not sure it has any soul, really. lots of these teams have now become more “corporate”, and bland.
  15. #TexasBack sounds like a hot sweaty back with your shirt stuck to it.
  16. it is ironic. I did like how much more comfortable the diamond era hats were to me. If it were up to me I’d pick the Classic99 Nike hats to be the on field ones. They are the most comfortable hats I’ve ever worn, and breathable!
  17. Could be. I also noticed there seemed to be many more “week of” announcements for uniforms to be worn last year.
  18. A little off topic, but I miss the days where this forum would be 50 pages deep at this time of the year. Hope it really starts to ramp up soon!
  19. Agreed. Nuggets have been all over the place the last 20 years. I preferred the powder blue, but I know people enjoy the current colors. The Hawks have changed color schemes quite often, Cavs, Etc.
  20. I’ve probably said this before, but city connect uniforms are just an annoying cash grab. Teams represent the cities enough already. When I think of Boston, I think of the Red Sox, I think about Fenway. Teams already connect the community.
  21. There is a very small community on Twitter that touches themselves over these new uniforms. Influencer culture is not my cup of tea.
