  1. You're going to have to wait a while before it feels OK to be a Hawks fan.
  2. The Swinging Friar would like a word.
  3. "Soon it was commonplace for entire teams to change cities in search of greater profits. The Minneapolis Lakers moved to Los Angeles where there are no lakes. The Oilers moved to Tennessee where there is no oil. The Jazz moved to Salt Lake City where they don't allow music."
  4. With the exception of that dumb shoulder patch and the awful orange alternate, 1998-2007 is the best the Islanders have ever looked. The pre-Edge era is the best a lot of (but not all) teams have ever looked. The Islanders and Flames especially never should've changed from those looks. They've gotten worse since then.
  5. Money is at play here. Nike probably sells more Canada jerseys than Sweden jerseys so there's an impetus to create a bold new design (not necessarily good) that gets people's eyes on it and moves product.
  6. Remember when the worst thing about the original Stadium Series jerseys was the oversized numbers and chrome logos? Those were the days…

  8. Unless the Ducks are going to go back to the eggplant and jade, which I'm sure we would've gotten some indication of by this point, they need to promote the orange alternate to primary and make a road version. It's the best of both worlds. Lean into the orange, black and gold. It's different enough from the Flyers' orange, white and black.
  9. That is one of the best looks in league history. Period.
  10. The term you're looking for is "wayside." Yes on part one, no on part two. The orange with navy trim is the best the Oilers have ever looked.
  11. I thought that the league required team names to be only 2-3 words between the city name and nickname.
  12. Thank God the Blackhawks aren't doing anything :censored:y with their crest.
  13. I'm surprised that they're adding more material given how much discussion they've had about making jerseys lighter by removing material.
  14. You had ONE JOB, Chiefs. ONE :censored:ING JOB. :censored: you, Spanos.
  15. Apparently they're working on expanding into Illinois and this is part of it.
  16. The Kraken announced that MeiGray will be their game-worn jersey dealer, which is awesome. It'll make it so much easier to pick up a gamer. I have at least one jersey from 31/32 franchises (I specify franchises because I have several Thrashers jerseys but nothing from the Jets) and I just need a Seattle jersey. Considering how awful the Adidas retail "authentics" and the Fanatics replicas are, I'm not settling for anything less than game-issued or game-worn.
  17. I think the Islanders also look better in navy for the same reasons that I stated above. Wearing the old design won't bring the dynasty back. Mike Bossy's not walking through that door. Minus that stupid four-stripe shoulder patch and the awful orange alternate, 1998-07 is the best the Islanders have looked.
  18. That's a shame. I know I'm in the minority but the orange and navy is a much better look. Trying to throw back to the Gretzky years when they aren't anywhere near as successful is pointless.
