Preseason right?

I could definitly see the Pac12 looking at Big12 schools like Texas Tech Baylor, and TCU. If the Big Ten added, I figured theyd go with North Carolina and another ACC team, but this is the big shift that may cause mass chaos.

I saw a concept on Twitter last week that removed black and silver and may have even darkened the blue ever so slightly. It was immensely better.

I believe Appel stepped away from baseball for a few years and made a comeback this year.

At least until training camp and preseason is over.
At this point of the year, why make the big announcement if you're a little more than 2 months out from the regular season? He was a free agent anyways, so he didnt have to say anything.

I think you'll also see the tournament basically stuck between Europe, Asia and North America from now on. FIFA needing so many venues within a set amount of space would require massive amounts of highway infrastructure between multiple countries that I don't think would happen in South America due to the amount of deforestation that would be required. I also can't see Brazil and Argentina ripping down some of their older "iconic" stadiums when it may be cheaper, and safer, to build new stadiums. But then you run into the issues of the favelas getting cleared out to build them. China will probably host 2030 with England dropping out to focus on Euros 2028, so England or a combined European country bid would likely host 2034.
I would have to think the joint country bid will be the way of the future. Just looking at Wikipedia to collect info on future bids, most of the potential bids for 2030 are joint bids.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIFA_World_Cup_hosts#2030_FIFA_World_Cup
- Uruguay/Argentina/Chile/Paraguay
-Morocco, pending Algeria and Tunisia (likely a longshot due to needing many new venues)
-Portugal/Spain
-Greece/Bulgaria/Serbia/Romania
Potentials for 2034 are said to be as follows
-Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam
-China
- Australia, New Zealand and/or Indonesia

I'm pretty sure he didn't make it, but it was on public domain. I found this on Google image searches

Ive always thought the Panthers in a blue helmet like the Dallas Renegades XFL helmet would work well.

The format should be easy for each city: Each one gets a group (which means three games at a site) and a First Round Knockout game. This gives each site a minimum of four games.
From there, you make sure that a Mexican site and a Canadian site (probably Mexico City and Vancouver) get at least two more games - a Round of 16 game and a Quarterfinal.
I dont know if they'd fix a group to one set location, but it does make sense. At the bare minimum each site would have 3 games played, despite who the teams are.

Got to think it’s between LA and NY for the final, with the loser hosting one semifinal+ the opening match and Mexico City the other. Will Canada host any knockout stage games? Can’t see them hosting more than a round of 16, probably in Vancouver
It's a 32 team knockout stage, so there are more games to go around. Vancouver could get one, but not sure about Toronto with a 40k capacity.

Super happy SoFi is gonna host the World Cup! I’d imagine that SoFi along with JerryWorld and MetLife in New York, are the main candidates to host the opening match and the Final.
If the opening day will be 3 matches (one in each country) I would think Mexico City gets one. Vancouver would be my choice for Canada due to larger capacity than Toronto. Dallas might get the opener in the US since I feel like NY or LA gets the final.

Honestly I'm shocked Vegas didn't get pick as a host site. Since with the Knights & Raiders, it's one of the fastest growing sports markets.
Vegas applied but was eliminated from host consideration during the 2nd round of cuts in 2018, among other cities like Tampa, Charlotte, Phoenix, the Cotton Bowl and the LA Coliseum.

Per the announcement feed, it sounded like some decisions were made as recently as this week.

I can't say that I'm liking the concept of random byes. Especially having to explain that to kids.
Agreed, I was trying to figure out how the byes were decided.

I sincerely don't understand why the NHL prevent the U.S. RSNs to do the rest of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, including the Final, since 1995, in order to protect U.S. national broadcasters.
If I recall, the NHL might be the only league that allows the RSN's to have any round in the playoffs (first round). NFL is all national broadcasts, and NBA and MLB are all national level.

Anaheim's raw population is beside the point. The issue is Anaheim's being within the metropolitan avenue of another city of far greater importance.
So Brooklyn Nets is against your guidelines too?

Could Nike have figured out the supply chain issues that were originally delaying these until 2023?
I sense Nike could probably swing a team set of uniforms for the season, but its the residual delay in fan merchandise that might not be readily available.

All that was said for the Seahawks was that 2022 wasn't happening...but the door was left open for any future plans.

No one said they wanted the uniforms, the balance of color was mainly what was referenced.
