From Paul Lukas,
Yesterday, however, I was interviewing a league executive about something else and got confirmation: The Cowboys will indeed be wearing both versions of the white helmet this season — one with their throwback uni and one with their CR uni. The league hadn’t initially planned on this when it allowed teams to add a second helmet color, but the Cowboys asked if they could give the white shell two different design treatments. Since the throwback and CR unis are both alternates (which means it’s permissible under league rules for them to be paired with an alternate helmet color), the league said yes.
So based on this statement about alternate uniforms, it makes me wonder if the Panthers really did designate the black jerseys the alternate to pair with a black helmet.

I’m probably going to get tomatoes thrown at me for this, but I think more teams should wear matching pants with their alternate color jerseys.
Same. The Rays reporter for the Tampa Bay Times added a detail recently that the Rays were ditching the gray jerseys for 2023 and beyond and sticking with the navy and Columbia blue tops for road games. My hope is that they also add a pair of Columbia blue pants for road games with a matching top for clashes with navy at home teams (potentially Seattle, Cleveland, Houston, etc)

To Add to this list:
WTF outcomes: New Era. Still Baffling that they do uni's for the Canadian Football League
Unlikely, yet questionable: Under Armour, New Balance.
Me personally, Really don't want Nike or Fanatics.
New Balance owns Warrior so its not as far of a stretch.

This is more long term but Adidas will not return as uniform manufacturer after 2023-24 season

Locking this thread because there is an active thread for the season here now that camps have begun.

Aside from the new All Star logo what about actual uniforms etc? Hopefully the Marlins break out the 1993-02 Teal Uniform to wear for Sunday home games. Also the other 16 teams that don't have City Connect will now have them.
I'll have to see if I can find it, but the local beat reporter for the Rays seemed to say the Tampa Bay City Connect wouldnt be until 2024. I would think they might split up the 16 remaining teams into 2 years of 8 each year.

Whats the Rays logo in your pfp from? Never seen it
Its a combination of the three teams in Tampa Bay (Bucs, Rays, Lightning) from a local apparel company called For The Bay Clothing Company.

It’s a guarantee, but nice to see their regular look went back to a good uniform
Yes, fans and alumni of South Florida hated the foil gold numbers on the jerseys and the chrome domes. It just didnt represent the history of the program. There were also reports that the players themselves said the last set of Adidas uniforms were rigid and stiff, and that this new set is "comfy"

I mean, that was the full intention of the Bengals original color rush uniform, so it makes sense.

Judging from the backgrounds, we can confirm the Renegades, Roughnecks, Defenders, Vipers and Battlehawks
Probably the Dragons in Seattle too.

Photo Day is today for the football team, so I would think we see some better shots later today.

Here's the tweet South Florida football posted, I couldn't embed it in my other post for some reason.

South Florida will be unveiling new uniforms on Monday 7/25.
My hopes in using former stars Matt Grothe and George Selvie in the hype video means a shift into something like the late Nike uniforms from 2007 or the early UA style of 2008

This is more NFL adjacent, but David Tepper is backing out of a training facility for Charlotte FC as well. Is Tepper really suitable as an owner? Seems to have issues down there in Carolina.

Taking out teams with rubbish ballparks, Toronto because of Canada's COVID restrictions, and Philadelphia since they will host it in 2026, the teams that last hosted an ASG in the 20th century:
Chicago Cubs, 1990
Baltimore Orioles, 1993
Texas Rangers, 1995
Boston Red Sox, 1999
Atlanta Braves, 2000
Going by this list, I'd say the northside of Chicago should host in 2024 based on time passed since their last hosting (1990). Wrigley has had their renovations complete for a few years now so its coming up in the next few years i would think. I believe Baltimore is getting some state funding for renovations soon, so they might be in the next few years too once completed.

Looks like the Giants will use Super Bowl endzones from that era too.

Also, something kind of interesting
FIU Baseball has used it in the past.

I'm curious of what color the home FIU helmet is. Haven't seen any other angles to confirm. It looks navy blue, but that speckle is interesting.

Situationally, no. They got kicked out and had to go somewhere of last resort. If I were a player in the league, I'd bail now.
