The Screagle, as a logo, sucks. I agree that it's got weird dimensions, an odd shape, and weird proportions, but what makes me like it is the color scheme. The blue/gold/black was unique, and looked surprisingly good. I wish the Caps had stuck with that color scheme.

The NHL has no need to keep recycling teams and venues. There are plenty of potential matchups I can think of off the top of my head. - Isles vs. Rangers at MetLife - Avalanche vs. Wild at Invesco Empower or Coors Field - Caps vs. Canes at FedEx Field - Devils vs. Rangers at Rutgers Hell, if they can give Dallas and Nashville a Winter Classic they can give Tampa and Florida a game too.

The Canes' black pants don't look bad, but the black helmets aren't a great look imo.

I kinda like the black pants. Gives the uniform a bit more of a balanced color palette.

Gonna stir the pot even further by saying that not only should the Avs use the Colorado C for their captain patch, but they should use their Stadium Series logo as their alternate captain patch.

Looks like it. This may be the one and only instance in which a Fantatics jersey is better than the authentic.

These literally just look like awful, fake DHGate jerseys. Good lord. I mean hell, the bottom ones basically are what the team unveiled.

I guess we know what they meant by "flipping things up" now.

Everyone likes $#!tting on Lou Lamoriello for being boring when it comes to jerseys, but he may very well end up being the only GM stubborn enough to not cave into the jersey ad pressure.

As much as I like that they're bringing this wordmark back, this isn't the way to do it. Too many strokes, too many clashing colors, and an unnecessary wave effect. All they had to do was update the font on the original and they were golden.

Hot take, but doing a second Reverse Retro is dumb. There are more than enough teams scraping the bottom of the historical barrel to make the whole thing not worth it. I think they should've extended the program to be longer than just a year, but trying to rehash it a second time isn't the brightest idea imo.

I didn't think the Colorado plate could be improved, but here we are. Bravo.

Chiming back in again to annoy everyone with yet another one of my '90s jersey finds. This one was off Depop, not a physical thrift store, so take that as you will. When I was about 5 years old, my dad bought me a fisherman jersey off eBay that I wore all the time. I loved that thing to death, and ever since I grew out of it, I've been on the hunt for another. I finally found a fisherman jersey in my size that wasn't a million dollars, and I jumped all over it. This jersey is my personal holy grail, and I'm so glad to finally have one.

It's hard to upgrade the current SCF logo, that thing's a beaut. But it's looking like the NHL might one-up itself here.

I don't like the gradients and the drop shadows they've put all over the logo. Design wise, it's really nice though, especially the way they implemented the warning flags.
