  1. Did Urban Meyer knock out Doug Peterson and then pretend to be him?
  2. As much as I’ve seen some egregious calls, yeah, at the end of the day, it’s on the players and coaches. Never got the attitude of blaming things on the refs if the players fall short. Typically it comes from the sorts of people who blame everyone else but themselves from when I’ve seen my fanbase do it. Should refs get better training? Yeah, they probably should. But somehow I don’t think that will satisfy the insatiable.
  3. And now even NFL executives and coaches want reform on how refs are trained per Adam Schefter.
  4. Call me when the Bears do something besides humiliating their city or themselves in the playoffs.
  5. Alright, eff it, here are my picks WILD CARD ROUND San Francisco 28 Seattle 13 Los Angeles 24 Jacksonville 21 Buffalo 35 Miami 10 New York 27 Minnesota 24 Cincinnati 30 Baltimore 7 Dallas 23 Tampa Bay 21 DIVISIONAL ROUND Cincinnati 24 Buffalo 23 Kansas City 31 Los Angeles 24 Philadelphia 31 New York 14 San Francisco 20 Dallas 14 CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND Kansas City 31 Cincinnati 30 San Francisco 20 Philadelphia 17 SUPER BOWL Kansas City 35 San Francisco 31 Yeah, I’m a homer and proud of it
  6. I know he’s into older women and all, but trying to make a cuckold out of the guy he’s competing with for the starting job isn’t the win he thinks it would be.
  7. No, from another place you’d have to be crazy to go to war over: Kansas City Maybe that’s why they made two of them?
  8. Seattle vs. San Francisco Los Angeles vs. Jacksonville Miami vs. Buffalo New York vs. Minnesota Baltimore vs. Cincinnati Dallas vs. Tampa Bay
  9. Yeah, I want the first-round bye. I didn’t want it because a guy’s heart stopped. My dislike of the means is a lot more than how much I may like the end. It’s going to taint it if it comes to that.
  10. Fair enough. This may wind up being much ado about nothing by Monday for all we know.
  11. My apologies that my team is benefiting from a situation that no one actually wants to benefit from.
  12. Hey, you pretty much called it. At the end of the day, beyond everything else, I’m glad Damar Hamlin is alright but this solution sucks. Even if it is the least terrible solution.
  13. Yeah, if rules are just going to be changed at a whim then what is the point of a rule in the first place? It’s not a huge deal but I’ll be honest and say I’m a little miffed at the potential to be screwed out of hosting a championship game based on arbitrary emotional knee jerk reactions not host a championship game. Again, not the end of the world at all, just something I’m slightly bothered by.
  14. I get why the NFL did what it did, but there were already rules in place for what to do about it. Then again, I’m sure this is the first time the NFL has ever arbitrarily enforced its own rules and it isn’t like they do it all the time.
  15. I just don’t want the NFL to make a neutral site Conference Championship Game a precedent going forward. Feels like the NFL would try and pull a “let no crisis go waste” move if they could get away with it. As for teams squabbling about playoff locations and whatnot, it’s to be expected, especially considering that Hamlin’s recovery has been rapid so far. Moments of unity are special because they’re so rare and fleeting.
  16. Could’ve had far worse solutions. FWIW, Indianapolis happens to be almost equidistant from Kansas City and Buffalo. That’s probably where the Conference Title game ends up if it comes to that.
  17. I know that there isn’t a single idea that isn’t going to anger a lot of people and I fully understand not resuming the game and all, but did all of the ideas that have been floated need to be so stupid? Must be the dissonance when trying to apply equity to competition.
  18. Obviously take this with a massive grain of salt and the word “Allegedly,” should be in 72 size font.
  19. I don’t think there’s any resolution to this that isn’t going to piss a bunch of people off. Whether they should be pissed off or not, it’s going to happen that someone is going to lose out. I’d just take the bye week away from the Conference Championship Games and Super Bowl and play the Bills/Bengals game when the Wild Card weekend would normally be. Seems like the solution with the fewest problematic elements.
  20. Kansas City vs. Las Vegas Tennessee vs. Jacksonville Cleveland vs. Pittsburgh Minnesota vs. Chicago NY Jets vs. Miami Tampa Bay vs. Atlanta Carolina vs. New Orleans Houston vs. Indianapolis Arizona vs. San Francisco Dallas vs. Washington LA Rams vs. Seattle NY Giants vs. Philadelphia LA Chargers vs. Denver Detroit vs. Green Bay Baltimore vs. Cincinnati New England vs. Buffalo
  21. If he comes through and I hope he does, he is going to have some interesting things to say about if he felt anything while he was out.
