Absolutely the right call, there was no way either team would be mentally prepared to play after what just happened. -

Jesus, that's :censored:ing terrifying. I really hope Hamlin comes out of this alright. -
That probably has something to do with the fact that the Pirates had relocated to Philly and folded well before Boston switched to black and gold, so there was no franchise in Pittsburgh to complain about the Bruins going from brown and gold to black and gold. Not to mention the Pirates had already changed colors twice by the time they relocated; once to blue and gold, another to black and orange.

Speaking of the Jags, some sad news for Jacksonville; -
Oh, it can. Just have a game with the Flames wearing Stampeders homages and the Oilers wearing Flyers homages.

Sure there, Rivera. Sure. That's definitely what you meant. -
Dan Snyder choosing to represent his team with a pig, something traditionally considered either dirty and ugly or delicious when cooked, is probably the most fitting choice he could have made.

The problem with the Texans is that they have such a bland and mediocre identity that you can't get attached to it, so people look back at the previous franchise in the market; and when they get something much stronger branding-wise...they attach to that brand instead. I don't think there's literally a single marketing term the Texans have created that even comes close to matching Luv 'Ya Blue in terms of iconicity. They're a navy, red and white team; just like the Patriots, Titans, Bills and Giants all were when the Texans entered the league. Their logo is fine, but nothing outstanding. Their entire brand is just...there. Not good enough to truly stand out, but simultaneously not bad enough to be noteworthy in any way. If the Texans were food, they'd be one of those little bags of chips people give out on Halloween; just about enough to suffice, not enough to fill. A perfectly average brand that fills the boxes but is not very distinct.

Howard Terminal seems far, far closer than any potential stadium in Vegas for the A's situation at this point, though; unless you're suggesting that the A's move in with the Aviators at Las Vegas Ballpark and it's 10,000-person capacity.

The Screagle is the best primary logo the Caps have ever had because it's the only one that even bothered to be a logo instead of just being a wordmark that's made into a primary logo. Trying to claim it's Buffaslug-bad or looks like it was drawn by a little kid is just laughable. Seriously, there's a reason that their current logo looks like ass when scaled down and both eagle variants don't. And between the two eagles, the Weagle never truly manages to stand on it's own on a jersey design in any of the concepts I've seen; it's just too empty in the middle for me to buy it as a strong primary mark for a brand. Maybe they'll actually make it work on the Stadium jersey, but I still have my reservations on that. From what I've seen, Caps fans around the Internet generally seem to be pretty fond of the Screagle, too, and it sells really well when they use it; in terms of sports team branding, those two metrics are pretty much the only ones that matter.

End of an error. -
My opinion is I'd just scrap it altogether and make this their permanent road jersey;
