  1. Those are interesting to look at. Utah isn’t.
  2. All of the 17/18 can be seen as template changes, as the actual design didn’t change, Nike just had to adjust some things. (Except for Denver. The swapped the emphasis on navy and powder.)
  3. Even the Twitter people think it’s :censored:ty.
  4. Seeing the new trophy actually be revealed, it’s still recognizable and keeps the iconic feel of the Larry O’Brien. 2016 2022
  5. Utah, if you wanted to pivot last minute, why not make a white mountain City jersey (like the 2023 one) and wear that at home and the throwback in the road? Even if alternates can only be worn up to 30-ish times each, that’s 60/82 games where you are wearing purple. Hypothetically, that would suffice until they could relaunch the rebrand in 2-5 years.
  6. Those had collar and sleeve cuff trim. These don’t.
  7. The fact that the main brand is so :censored:ty they put it as a footnote to a throwback they already wore 2 years ago is telling.
  8. They are trying to evoke the 80's wordmark with the wierd curves in the E's. The execution is horrible, but I see where they're coming from.
  9. Since it’s that time of year, let me give my take that no one asked for. This Finals was a lose-lose for people like me. As a Lakers fan, not only am I happy that they lost(on their home court, no less), they failed to break the tie of most championships. Watching them hopelessly shot-chuck was so satisfying. At the same time, as a LeBron fan, watching Golden State win again felt…stale. Seeing Giannis and the Bucks get a trophy made me feel happy for him, after seeing his career from the start. This year didn’t give off that same feeling of vicarious excitement. For fans of the team, sure, their story was inspiring (after being the worst team in the league two years ago), but for the rest of us, it was a reminder of how annoyingly good they are. Don’t know who posted this, but I saw someone say they were 5% happy for GS and 95% happy that Boston lost, and that perfect sums it up.
  10. I liked the DP monogram, more than this 313 biker logo. This whole “Embrace Detroit/Look like the Lions” thing has been a turn for the worse.
  11. More like a band being asked about it’s lead singer. The players aren’t making the jerseys, just wearing them.
  12. I think this needs to be repeated and/or pinned to the top of the boards or something, because this poster does this often, and as @gosioux76 pointed out, you guys always fall for it. If you know it’s fake, you don’t have to tell them that it’s fake, because that person likely already knows. If you’ve proven his information to be false before, just ignore him.
  13. Returning to this thread with a team that I've held under wraps for a while, here are the Denver Nuggets! The Nuggets have gone through an interesting visual history, but their most recognizable looks are the 80's rainbow and the powder blue/navy/gold combo. Other than an throwaway alternate, these two ideas have never overlapped until now. Association/Icon: This mid-2000/2010s alternate becomes the basis for the main jerseys, only in white and powder. Statement: The aforementioned alternate is brought back in its entirety. City: The Colorado flag is evoked in this uniform, with the mountain rainbow becoming the white stripe on the flag. The pants stripe comes from the 2003-2017 uniforms. Main Court: The rainbow pattern is applied to the keys, while the apron is powder, similar to the 2000s court.
  14. Nice. Looks like what the Chargers wore around that time, so definitely era-accurate.
  15. 1) MJ 2) LeBron (my personal #1, but whatever) 3-5) Kobe, Magic, Shaq (in any order) 6) Wilt 7) Kareem 8 ) Russell 9) Duncan 10) Hakeem Now that’s just my personal list, but is Steph better than anyone on that list? (Not trying to be contrary, just asking is Curry more top 15 than top 10)
  16. Context matters. Finals MVPs are important, but players’ resumes are not incomplete without them. Scottie Pippen isn’t an all-time great because he didn’t win when it mattered most? Or how about KG? Or David Robinson?
  17. They threw back to them in 2009.
  18. He played 3 years and won a championship with them. With all the media coverage and exposure in a Bucs uniform, Brady has two right teams.
  19. If KD doesn’t join Golden State, there’s a good chance that happens.
  20. Arizona Cardinals Back when we were discussing a possible Cardinals change a few months back in the NFL 2022 thread, @BBTV mentioned using horizontal stripes on the shoulder similar to Texas A&M. I really liked that idea, so I took matters into my own hands with this concept. Helmet is unchanged. Aggies-style shoulder stripes are thinly outlined in black. Pants' double stripe matches the shoulders. White socks (for red pants to avoid monochrome) are left plain to match the helmet. Numbers and wordmark are sharply rounded to match bird-beak-wing side panels of the IRL Cards uniforms.
