  1. Yay! I always love it when LA throws back to the MLPS days, and this is probably the best of that set. (I believe they did the road version in 2018, if i'm not mistaken)
  2. There was/is absolutely no reason for this new statment to exist. None. Not only did it replace a beautiful alternate jersey, it has no redeemable qualities that would make anyone want to buy it. I'm starting a Change.org petition for Adidas to regan control of the NBA outfitting rights. Link will be posted shortly.
  3. If Miami does make the throwbacks permanent, are they going to use the old logo? Andi if so, which one? The throwbacks use the original 1966 version.
  4. I attempted to fix this (I had to back to the original 2-year-post to find the problem.) Original Photoshopped
  5. Let me be clear: the only I'd want kyrie because I have a small morsel of hope that, by returning to LeBron, and going to a team with two solid primary options, Irving will take a humility check. Everything I said in that post about KD can (and does) apply to Kyrie. I just hope that getting Westbrook off of the team would lessen the chemistry issues, and I'm praying that Kyrie takes a long look in the mirror. I'm also hoping that whatever semblance of a relationship Irving and James have left would lead to some temporary temporance. All of this is unlikely, though, and I am prepared for the media crapshow this will become. TL;DR: Kyrie and KD are relativley similar, and I am only accepting Irving because he wants to play for my team. Sports > Logic.
  6. Dolphins: white helmet, orange jersey, orange pants, orange socks. Bengals: orange helmet, white jersey, white pants, white socks. Great job, NFL/Nike/owners/whoever is to blame for this.
  7. So the "alt helmet is only worn with alt jersey" rule is still in effect?
  8. I'm so sick of KD. Like, I am genuinely tired of hearing "news" about him. I will admit, most of my hatred came from me being a diehard LeBron fan and feeling pissed after KD signed with a record-setting team that Cleveland just barely beat. Watching people claim he's the "best player in the world" while winning championships that seemed predestined at the start of the season nearly cemented him in my mind as a selfish, lazy egomaniac. When he left for Brooklyn, I was as relieved as every other NBA fan, but I was also dissapioted to see that young, rag-tag Nets team lead by D'Angelo Russell go by the wayside. To watch him flame-out has been satisfying, but these trade rumors have gotten rather insane rather quickly. There should be no way in hell that Boston agrees to trade for Durant (which would likely mean giving up Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Grant Williams + picks). If this happens, and Kyrie gets traded to LA, Brooklyn's burnout reigniting the Lakers-Celtics would be both hilarious and an NBA fan's (and Adam Silver's) dream.
  9. But why would Dallas not announce that? Also, the white pants of the CR have silver in the middle, so if they were going to pair it with that combo, why not make the stripes match. Something's not adding up.
  10. The Statement is supposed to be the alternate, right? It's the third jersey, that looks connected to the main set, but may be a color swap (like Philly's red jersey) or a logo on the front (Phoenix's orange jersey). This looks like a City jersey. This has no design connection to the two main jerseys. Even worse, It replaced a simplistic, nice-looking jersey (see below). Why couldn't they make the above tweet the City and keep this one?
  11. This is interesting. I think it would go over well with the home crowd (having visited Chicago and the Bean recently, I can tel you people love it). The Bears being and old franchise definitely helps, given that they've worn solid material helmets before.
  12. I left the boards for 3 days...3 days...and the NFL world completely collapsed. Kids, if you didn't know before, now you know: sports' #1 priority is money. Everyone involved, from the players, coaches, staff, owners, broadcasters, ect., has some sort of financial motive. A byproduct of the league loving money is that they will do whatever it takes to promote their product, which includes actual football. But over the last 72 hours the NFL has shown me that teams don't care about anything else. They don't care about traditon. (CHI, ARI). They don't care about asthetics (CAR, NYJ, NO, PHI, WAS). They care about demographics, money, and how to get people talking and buying. If that happens to be in the uni-lover's best interest, say, a beloved throwback uniform (DAL, NYG, NE, ATL), then so be it. But if a color swap is what is going to make people talk about them more, tune in to their games, and buy said product, then that's what they'll do. This is the end of uniform uniformity. The cash grab has never been more apparent.
  13. Random thought, but I have this gut feeling that Tyreek Hill's comments comparing Tua and the Dolphins and Mahomes and the Chiefs are going to come back to haunt them, especially since Miami doesn't seem primed for a deep playoff run like KC is. Tua has not proven himself to be anything more than a C+ QB, and he might find himself in the same situation Baker has just in if he underpreforms. Hill saysing what he said increased pressure for a team that shoud've flown under the radar and been the surprise of the league. Now there are expectations set that I don't think Miami can live up to.
  14. I think we contribute to the amount of trollers on here by engaging in his content. While it was hilarious to see him get exposed (via reverse Google Image search), him getting the attention he wanted is only going to encourage him to do this again with another username. There are going to be many blatant trollers on this site, and if we continue to debate with them, we are just spreading the very thing we are trying to eradicate. If the information being given is clearly false and inaccurate, do not address it. Continue on with the current topic. The only way to minimize this behavior is to ignore it completely. Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk.
  15. It was only a matter of time, right? Wish they would've unveiled it sooner so it didn't seem like we were jumping on a trend, but I'm glad it's back.
  16. This is the 2021 thread. That tweet was posted in the 2022 thread.
  17. ATL doesn't have and all-red color rush look anymore. Closest thing they have if the gradient jersey:
  18. Just BTW, the fastest expansion team to win a chip in pro sports history are the Milwaukee Bucks, who started play in 1968-69 and won thier first championship in 1970-71. For more modern history, the Arizona Diamondbacks started play in 1998 and won a championship in 2001.
  19. Only Kareem, Magic, Kobe and Shaq have won an MVP. Since the last 3 already have "Lore" jerseys made for them, that means this should be for Kareem. But the signature on the jersey doesn't match Kareem's. But if we're talking Finals MVPs, the only ones without a uniform honoring them are Wilt and Jerry West, and the signature doesn't belong to them either.
  20. This is kinda stupid, but what if Cleveland did something like this:
  21. A and B are the same. Players will wear all-white socks with both, so the color won't matter. If I had to pick, A with the red socks is better.
  22. ^^This is what the should wear 'til the end of time.
  23. Got it. How about the Rockets? After the 90's pajama fiasco, they went back to red, but with silver (and eventually black) being the secondary color.
