  1. Utah should've stopped while they were ahead:
  2. The general consensus on these boards is that the Cowboys need to pick between one shade of blue and on shade of silver. Most prefer the road combo of navy blue and flat silver, but that's not what fans think of when it comes to Dallas: Compare those to these: ...and it's no question. The navy and silver looks good, but it's not Dallas. In an attempt to fix that, I've decided to see what it would look like if Dallas used the silver-blue on their pants everywhere else that they use silver.
  3. Two more quick mock-ups for the Jags, one traditional and on akin to the Bengals's recent rebrand.
  4. For those of you who don't like redirecting links:
  5. Would this make it "clean"? Before: After:
  6. Throw some teal sock on that baby and you've got an average NFL set. Throw some stripes on the pants and double outlines on the numbers and you've got the Jags original set (top tier).
  7. IIRC, this was the same reason the the Rams cited in 2020 for not being able to wear the yellow pants until midseason.
  8. I can't believe how you guys overthink this. The original is Sr. (or I), the second generation is Jr. (or II)., and the third generation is III, and so on. If said player wants to add that to hs nameplate, it is their legal right to do so. The whole point of a suffix is to differentiate said person from the father of the same name, and the whole point of a personal brand is to differentiate yourself from other players (and make money), so they work hand in hand. In the case of Darius, it is a bit odd that he wants to be mononymously "Slay", but proceed to have "Slay Jr." on the nameplate, but then again, "Slay" is his preferred name, while "Slay Jr." is his legal suffix, similar to how Dick Vitale's prefffered name is "Dick", but his legal name is "Richard."
  9. McCarthy got carried by a stellar defense and an all-time QB to one SB win, which is the only reason he still has a job (that, and the fact that Jerry can push him around). If anything, Dallas should make Dan Quinn the head coach, just out of fear of losing him to another team.
  10. Relatively. They have a really solid defense, Brain Daboll and Wink Martindale are squeezing overachieving play out of them, and Saquon is carrying Daniel Jones and the offense.
  11. Justin Fields is who we thought Lamar Jackson was pre-2019. Great athlete, but subpar accursacy, arm strength, and passing IQ. That won't work in the playoffs, and eventually that style if play will fail when teams stop the running game, or as you mentioned, that player gets old and/or gets hurt. Also, the Bears recievers aren't terrible. They have Equimenous St.Brown, Darnell Mooney, and Cole Kmet at TE, three decent pass catchers. It's his IQ or his lack of trust in said recievers. He missed this open receiver and took a nine yard sack on this play:
  12. Was it just me, or did the stripes on the Commies sleeves look off-white?
  13. Buffalo BIlls Red helmet returns, using blue facemask from 1984-86. Striping pattern is taken from the 1986-2001 set, worn when the Bills took 4 straight trips to the Super Bowl in the mid 90's. Red socks retrun to match red helmet. 1960's throwback is the lone holdover from the IRL set.
  14. if the league gets rid of Dan, surely they won't let his wife run the team. There's too much potential for a puppet owner scheme there, and even if Tanya isn't a pushover, Dan would still have some influence. They have to (and if the league does) will go out together.
  15. This is ridiculous. They don't even use half of these:
  16. What's with the birds in the background? There's 5 birds NFL teams, I don't see why Jacksonville feels the need to incorporate them.
  17. I haven't heard about any confusion when they first debuted these in 2016, and they've worn them every year since (up until last year, of course). I doubt the helmet makes a difference, gibven that the ref wears a black hat.
  18. I think teams that use green as a primary color should leave the endzones uncolored (like the Packers do)
  19. This is trash, but only because I have no idea what they are trying to do with this. Nike has official run out of ideas.
  20. Why? They are stuck in between a major city and a B-level major city, so it's almost impossible to have thier own identity. i recently visited Dallas (and AT&T Stadium for that matter) and the city lines are almost blurred.
  21. Why? @Sport just said that the game was getting better ratings than the NBA Finals, so I don't see any reason for the NFL to trash a money-maker.
