A quick poll for you all: WHich of these teams do you think would absolutely upgrade, update, or swap out their 1980's logo at some point if they existed into the 2000's? And which would be too "iconic" to ever change?
Pittsburgh Maulers
Jacksonville Bulls
LA Express
Oakland Invaders
Tampa Bay Bandits
Memphis Showboats
Philadelphia Stars
Birmingham Stallions
Arizona Wranglers
Just pondering who to do minor tweaks to and who to overhaul as I get close to the 2000's in my alt history.

I honestly feel like I’ve become a pseudo-supporter of the bone jerseys simply because of the ridiculous hyperbole thrown its way. Do they suck? Sure, but the fact that someone in the 2021 week-by-week thread called it the worst uniform in league history still baffles me.
That was probably me and I was definitely right

Back to Chiefs, not kicking at the end of q2 took revenge at the end too.
49ers-Rams at this moment is boring.
That was a really bizarre playcall, and a bizarre choice by Mahomes to go through with it. 5 seconds is plenty of time to throw a quick pass one yard to the endzone, but trying to go behind the LOS?? Makes no sense

Sucks he called it quits when he still had so much left in the tank. Hope by some miracle he can go out with an MVP

I hate this. It's always been the "bellissimo!" or "okay" sign. Why are they giving this tiny group of losers validation by acknowledging their hijacking of a perfectly fine and harmless hand sign?
Were was the outrage when the Bloods starting using that hand sign?
Reminder this started as a joke on 4chan to troll people into believing something as benign as the OK symbol was a super duper secret underground racist dogwhistle. Not only did it work so well that pathetic braindead PR moves like this continue to happen, but it also tricked small online groups of mouthbreathers into adapting it as an actual racist symbol. Based on its reach in pop culture this is easily a top 5 troll job in the history of the internet.

People assuming the Chiefs are going to walk over the Bengals are crazy. They gave up 34 to Cinci in a loss three weeks ago and just got gashed for 36 against the Bills

That was a hell of a game. Good job, Buffalo, we should have college OT rules.
Or just guarantee both teams a possession. Why would you want this game to end in a 2 point conversion contest?

Well, there were also the St. Louis Blues (2019) and Washington Capitals (2018). But I guess first-time champs don’t count.Plus the Capitals, Raptors, Astros, Chiefs, and Bucks

The Niners are totally going to idiot their way into an NFC title, aren't they?
We can only hope and pray

People who live outside of St. Louis care more about the Rams going back to LA than people who actually live in St. Louis do

The Titans aren’t even a real NFL team. They’re just the group of guys the NFL puts out there as a the losing side in their interesting storylines. I’m fully convinced of it. No matter how good this team is,
I never have it in my mind that they’re going to actually do something with it. They were the one seed this year and I completely forgot they were even in the playoffs earlier this week.
They were definitely the most forgettable #1 seed in a while

That’s entirely fair, but don’t call him an all-time great when he anonymously compiled stats on a team he knew would struggle to get to .500. At least Barry Sanders, Calvin Johnson, and the aforementioned pre-playoffs baseball stars could sniff contention on a regular basis. At least those guys had more personality than the milquetoast Mike.
Calvin Johnson made the playoffs 2 times in 9 seasons

Man, those color rush games were such a dumb idea.
It was, and yet it completely took over as a uniform trend and is ruining games to this day.
