To insinuate their '94 unis are better than their full-time throwbacks is insanityyyy

    Who's insinuating that?

Also, you don't have to call the 49ers uniforms full time throwbacks. They're just the primary uniforms. Are you trying to say that you want the 49ers to update to something more modern? Because if so, I completely disagree.

It's possible they would do that but I certainly wouldn't assume it.

Even so, I'd still take the blue pants over yellow, even with blue socks. Although white or yellow socks would look much better.

The way I see it, the Chargers are a team that has uniforms that protect themselves from sock shenanigans -- within the primary set, there is no way to match the pants color and sock color. Other examples of this are the Packers, Steelers, 49ers, Raiders, Giants, and Bucs. Adding blue pants would remove that protection. Even if they announce that they're going to wear yellow or white socks with the blue pants, I have no doubt that eventually they'd pair blue socks with it.

According to sources, an alcohol-fueled incident involving Perry was alleged to have occurred during an event that included corporate partners and team employees in attendance. It remains unclear what allegedly took place, who witnessed it, and who reported it to the team.

From Frank Seravalli today. Wonder how the presence of corporate partners influenced the Blackhawks' decision making here.

Not entirely. They did wear red vs. Philly for that Monday evening kickoff in September. They also chose to wear red in Germany last year, and have worn red for most prime time games, which would indicate that to some degree it is a heat thing.

The last time they wore red at home for a 1pm game though was 2020 Week 14 against Minnesota.

More evidence that they're taking a page out of the Cowboys' book. They're basically using the red jersey as an alternate: Prime time games, international games, never wearing it for a regular 1 PM home game.

By blue leggings, do you mean no tripes or do you mean paired with blue socks? Because I don't see why you'd assume they'd do either. Anyways, I'd still prefer the white pants to anything but I'd take blue pants with the white jerseys over yellow.

I mean I'm almost certain that they'd pair it with blue socks. By "leggings" I mean that the pants and socks are the same color (I don't mean that the "socks" are actually leggings that they wear underneath their pants). And I'd rather not have the Chargers in blue pants for that reason - they'd end up looking similar to the Dolphins' white over aqua combo. I know that combo has its fans, but I'm not one of them.

So, try to quash the Mrs. Bedard rumor by giving a presser so emotional (but insisting that no laws were broken) that you come out of it thinking Perry did something even worse… that’ll shut them up!

Yeah seriously I'm left wondering what Corey Perry could possibly have done here to get his contract terminated. It was clear from the start that the Bedard rumor was not true, but it was too hilarious not to play into. Hopefully we get answers soon.

That's funny, considering the amount of borderline penalties called against the Eagles that allowed Dallas to drive all the way down the field at the end a few weeks ago - including a roughing the passer, that while technically legit, could easily have been let go and nobody would have complained.

Yesterday, when marching towards the game-tying drive, they were called for two center false starts that were very borderline (and how often does that even get called?) that backed them out of tying range (I don't think the odds were in favor of their kicker making a 59-yard kick on a gross field in pouring rain.)

They were also hit with a very borderline roughing call on Buffalo's drive in OT, that could easily have been let slide.

So no - objectively (and yes, I'm not some immature fan boy that can't view his team objectively), I don't think they've been getting the benefit of the doubt any more than any other typical missed call.  If anything, they've been getting hosed at ends of games (it happened against KC too.)

Questionable roughing the passer calls have gone against every single team in the NFL for the past few years. I don't think that's an example of the refs being against the Eagles.

The Eagles O-Line has been known to go earlier than they should, I'm glad that they're finally getting called for false starts. They got away with it for a year and a half already.

You're right, they're not getting hosed more than other teams, and based on what I've seen, the opposite is true. They're being called for less penalties than they should.

Don't forget... he ran the Eagles offense in 2017 when Wentz was the odd-on MVP favorite before hurting himself and then a backup took them to the SB (and several receivers and RBs had career years.)

Everything went down hill after he left.

The reality is, I'm hoping Shane Steichen gets canned.  Really hoping (and hoping he'd be willing to return to his old role.)

Curious though, are the Eagles built to run Reich's offensive scheme? (I don't know that much about the Eagles or how he runs his offense) I do wonder how adjusting to a new system over halfway into the season could affect them.

Regarding Steichen, I don't see that happening. Anthony Richardson looked promising in the time that he played before he got injured and he's still winning games with Gardner Minshew at quarterback. He's probably there for at least the next couple of seasons.
