  1. Toothpaste dolphin doesn't come close to helmet dolphin. Not sure what you're talking about. Also, I will only support aqua pants with the throwback if they create some white striped socks to go with it (also don't wear the aqua pants with the aqua jersey, please). I agree that the current set doesn't suck, but I think it's worn out its welcome. Dolphins fans (as well as most NFL fans) have been begging the team for years to make the throwbacks permanent again. The "make throwbacks full-time" conversation is repetitive and frustrating, but it's the only sensible move for the Dolphins in my opinion.
  2. I do think that the punishment should happen anyway, because one of the consequences of acquiring a faulty organization is dealing with the fallout of the previous regime. The fact that a new owner took over in Ottawa since this happened does not change the fact that they (allegedly) screwed Vegas over in the trade. I won't speak on whether the punishment they decide on is valid (it sounds like they will be getting more punishment than the Blackhawks did for Kyle Beach), but there should still be some consequences.
  3. I mean, fair. Agree to disagree on this one as well. I've just always considered the classic Dolphins look to be one of my favorites of all time.
  4. How'd the HC uniforms look in person?
  5. The '72 throwbacks are absolutely worth tossing the current look. Superior logo, superior colors, superior number font (besides whatever happened to Tyreek Hill's TV number yesterday), superior shoulder striping, superior pants, superior socks, superior helmet. In my opinion, it blows the modern Dolphins look out of the water in every single aspect of the uniform.
  6. Quick look at the Seahawks logo without the grey: Original logo for comparison:
  7. Respectfully, I completely disagree. The neon green works as a highlight color, but a full jersey in that color just isn't it.
  8. Out of the late games, Niners/Bengals was likely protected by CBS. Browns/Seahawks could have been interesting. Don't see the argument for Chiefs/Broncos or Ravens/Cardinals though. Rams/Cowboys from the early window might have been decent (on paper, the Rams got demolished on the field). But I agree that the 2023 Chicago Bears should not have been given a Sunday Night game.
  9. That all sounds great, you just forgot one detail. There's a reason no one else wears action green. And that reason is that it looks horrible.
  10. This is my vote for prettiest. The colors outside at Stanford absolutely POPPED.
  11. The other thing Brock Purdy's struggles have done is make the Trey Lance saga look way worse. The initial trade where we gave up all those futures for the third overall pick was horrible, but it was justified since we found our franchise quarterback from basically nothing -- the last pick of the draft. But if we don't have our franchise quarterback, then this trade in hindsight becomes one of the worst in NFL history.
  12. Fair. I never actually saw Jeff Garcia play (I wasn't born yet). I just heard that he was decent, if not spectacular. Jimmy G has a complicated legacy though. Yes, he led us to Super Bowl LIV and another NFC Championship Game. But he would always crumble, he would always throw completely braindead interceptions when it mattered most (kind of like Brock Purdy in the last two games). I wouldn't call him good. I would say he was passable when you surround him with that much talent. This year, he left SF to join the Raiders, gained the privilege of throwing to Davante Adams, and the Raiders are going nowhere. I don't like the term "system quarterback," but I can't help but apply it to Jimmy G.
  13. I mean Jeff Garcia was decent for a couple years at the turn of the millennium. Other than that, no.
  14. Bradford?? I think you meant Darnold. The fact is that my confidence in Brock Purdy is very shaken. I am back to questioning whether the 49ers have a competent quarterback.
  15. If that's the case, don't let him play. Let the GEQBUS cook. Also, it doesn't excuse the performance against the Browns.
  16. I am thoroughly embarrassed to be a 49ers fan right now. This team has now completely squandered three games in a row and the division lead. Brock Purdy went from the next Joe Montana to someone who should be flipping burgers. The defense went from dominant to a wet blanket. Kyle Shanahan's playcalling has deteriorated over this stretch. Jake Moody is not Robbie Gould. You have the most talented roster in the NFL. You have not only Pro Bowlers, but All-Pros at every level on both sides of the ball. These losses are inexcusable. It's a good thing there's a bye week, because it gives this team time to take a long, hard look at themselves. You're better than this. Prove it. (If it sounds like I'm overreacting, you're absolutely right. I needed to rant about this team and didn't feel like sifting through all the negativity on Twitter and Reddit, so I posted here.)
  17. Agreed. Debate is good, the same debate every single time is tiresome. And I'm confident in my opinions, but I'll stop short of saying I'm always right, because there really isn't a right answer to all of this. But I'm glad I can come here and geek out about football jerseys.
  18. No. No. Don't see the argument for the white socks with the navy uniform. Sorry. Looks unbalanced. Also, I'll say this again, don't justify a terrible uniform decision with "the owner likes it." Because that's not a justification. Just call it a bad uniform decision.
  19. This Seahawks throwback is one of the rare throwbacks where I think both the classic and the current look have a place. Let the throwback replace the horrible green jersey as the alt and you're fine.
  20. I will maintain that while the mismatched blues aren't great, there's nothing inherently wrong with the design. The colors have just drifted in different directions over the decades. The star drifted toward navy, the jersey stripes/numbers drifted toward royal, the helmets drifted toward metallic silver, and the pants drifted toward seafoam green. All you need to do is standardize the blue with a darker royal between the two current shades, make the helmet and pants a blue-ish silver, bring back the royal blue jersey, and you're good.
  21. That first quote was just to say that there are multiple arguments on this thread that are cringe. In regards to the Dak pic, you did say that it's the best they've ever looked at home (I disagree). My initial response to that pic was regarding his sock disaster. This is what I should have quoted that made this argument really tired:
  22. Also, dude, this debate is pushing similar levels of cringe. This is like the 36th time we've had this exact argument about the Cowboys. We've all made our points about the Cowboys clear. Let it go.
  23. I'm hating because he's wearing white socks on a uniform that's designed to have navy socks. Instead, this clown ignores that fact and decides to wear white socks below white pants. Doing so will never not be bush league. (I also do think that the regular white uniform is better than the navy uniform, but that's besides the point)
