Sadly, no pictures, but in 1999, the classic Seattle Seahawks met the pewter-and-red Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the only time.

In the Seahawks first year, 1976, they met the 'heavily-striped' New York Giants for the only time. No pics, but they would meet again in 1980, by which time the Giants would take on their most iconic look of the 1980s and 1990s (with the stripes toned down). Speaking of the Seahawks, they met the Baltimore Ravens for the first time in 1997; the Hawks in their classic getup and the Ravens in their 'winged-shield' glory; both would make changes to their looks by their next matchup in 2003.

It took five years, but the classic Seahawks met the Carolina Panthers for the only time in the year 2000.

Anthony Muñoz, Bengals legend, as a Tampa Bay Buccaneer. He was released shortly after the start of the 1992 season, but the Bengals and Bucs do wear orange, however....

Unsure whether this is unpopular, but I think the New York Mets 1983-90 racing stripe uniform set was the best look the team ever had.

This has nothing to do with uniforms, but rather with stadiums- this is an unpopular opinion, anyway, and I know I may catch some flack for this: With some areas being plagued by droughts, I wouldn't mind some stadiums in those areas in baseball or football switching to artificial turf; the turfs today are MILES better than the stuff put out in the 1970s and 1980s.

Not the best picture, they met a few times during the 2006-07 season, but it was the only season these matchups happened: The second-generation San Jose Sharks 1.0 logo jerseys w/the Anaheim Ducks new color scheme.

No pics again, but the striped Calgary Flames met the classic blue/gold Buffalo Sabres for two games in the 1995-96 season. The Sabres changed the uniform, logo and colors after that season.

The Reebok-engineered new-look Seahawks met the old-style Atlanta Falcons for the only time in 2002, two years before the Falcons changed their uniform. I am unable to find pics.

This is a rare, more recent matchup; these two styles (Blues original RBK Edge jereys/Stars new-style jerseys) only met up for several times in the 2013-14 season before the Blues tweaked their design.

No pictures, but twice during the 1995 calendar year (1995-96 season), the Winnipeg Jets 1.0 met the Pooh Bear Bruins jerseys for those two games only.

Unable to locate game action pics, but the Canucks Flying-V sweaters and the St. Louis Blues first-generation jerseys with red (with the 'BLUES' wordmark on the chest) only played each other in one season: 1984-85.

Has this been mentioned before? Wrong on two counts: 1) the team, 2) that number.....

Would like to add another one: I love D-ring belts in general. Football uniforms use them, so why not use them in baseball, as well?

Donno whether this is unpopular, but the NBA should reverse the home/road jersey convention to match the NHL's right now: Color at home, white on the road.

^ Yet again, I cannot find pics, but that same season, those very same Maple Leafs met the Los Angeles Kings twice in the latter team's final year of the Gretzky-era (first generation silver/black) look.

No pictures again, but in 1992, the pullover jersey/beltless trousered Cincinnati Reds met the St. Louis Cardinals in their new belted trouser/button-front jersey in what is more-or-less the current look for the latter team.

Only season this happened was in 2000/01; first year for that Suns set, last year for this set for the Sonics.
