While I cannot find a pic, the first-year Orlando Magic met the last year of the 'stars-and-stripes' New Jersey Nets in their first game ever in 1989; the Nets changed their look after that season.

Yes, for part of the 1993 season.

The next meeting this year will have the Jags in their completely different uniform set, and the Lions will be due for a change in the not-too-distant future.

While we're on the subject... From his early years. Right team, just the wrong uniform design. And look at that fuller head of hair!

Another noteworthy thing about that 2003 Rams/Bengals matchup: Riall Johnson's FNOB is there. That was because the 2003 Bengals squad had four guys with the last name Johnson that year (the other three were Jeremi, Rudi, and of course, Chad 'Ochocinco').

Only time the white-pants 49ers met the Bengals (1996); by 1999, both teams made a few changes to their looks. While we're on the subject of the Bengals.... The only time these two uniform sets met in 2003.

Only happened in two matchups in 1996; first year of the tweaked Vikings uniforms and the last for the Creamsicle Buccaneers. Video, but those same Vikings met the Broncos that same year in that teams final year of the classic Orange Crush unis.

^ I see. Crazy thing is, I've been around these boards since 2006 (this year is my 10th anniversary here).

Looks good enough. When was the last time the boards underwent a cosmetic makeover like this?

More video ahoy: From Nolan Ryan's final days, in 1993, and the last year of the Texas Rangers' "Texas Dodgers" set and the first year of that particular California Angels uniform.

If only... That redesign would have been worlds better if the uniforms had actually matched. Original plans called for four uniforms. Indeed. What were the two other uniforms, anyway? Moving towards baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers almost got caught up in the late-1990s fad of faux-vest jerseys started by their SoCal rivals, the Angels. As it states, it almost made it onto the field the point of having it sold in their concession stands.

When the Pittsburgh Penguins underwent a rebrand after their 1992 Stanley Cup win, this matching black sweater never saw the light of day.

Yet another gem from 1998: The only time the 1997-2012 Miami Dolphins set met the classic St. Louis Rams.

-and- The 49ers excellent running back of the 1980s Roger Craig in Raider and Viking uniforms. (Fun fact: In his career, he NEVER missed the playoffs. How many people do you know can say that about their playing careers?)

Continuing on with the Bengals: From 2005, the only time the current-styled Bengals met this Vikings uniform set, in its last year of use.

^ Indeed. I wouldn't mind the Jets returning to those uniforms; I know they weren't too great during their time wearing it, but they need to bring the kelly green back at the very least; IMO, what they have now is getting long in the tooth.

Speaking of the Bengals, the following year, 1997, in their first year of second-generation tiger-stripe uniforms (w/ the TV numbers on the shoulder and the 'full-body' Bengal tiger on the sleeves) met the black-accented New York Jets for the only time, as the Jets would change to their neo-Namath unis the next year. Sadly, I cannot seem to find any good pics..... That same year, the old-school Seattle Seahawks met the Baltimore Ravens for the only time; both teams had made changes to their looks by their next meeting in 2003. I have a pic of this one:

This 2004 matchup has the only meeting of the current-look Atlanta Falcons against the classic Arizona Cardinals.

From more recent times, the old-style Cleveland Browns meeting the Minnesota Vikings in the first year of their new uni set in 2013, which as it turned out was the only meeting between these two uniform sets.

Another rare one: The Packers with the full Lombardi stripes meeting the first-year Jacksonville Jaguars (w/block numbers) in 1995.

Another one-time only matchup that there are no pics of, again: In 1988, the San Diego Chargers modified their look, and in their first year of that uniform set, met the red-helmeted Atlanta Falcons for the only time. The following year, the 1978-89 New York Jets uniform set met those same Navy Blue Chargers for the lone time before the Jets added black accents in 1990. I have a picture of that matchup, unlike the other one:
