Iowa State looks like TCU with these all black uniforms. They have colors that stand out, they should be using them instead.

The helmets need way less, . . . "marbling" and a logo on the sides of the helmet. Only thing I don't like about the Army jerseys is the "spray painting" on the right shoulder. I know it has a story to it but it's adding one element too many there.

For players with single numbers the pattern sticks out a bit but those with 2 digit numbers it looks a little better with that chest pattern covered up a little more.

They've used the eagle as a mascot for years, even before the current logo. Other than the lightning bolts, what's a better way to show a flash? This should never be a helmet logo though. There's plenty of teams that look just as bad, but the dark grey uniform was pretty bad the other night. They need to go with these decals and leave it at that. The over sized, the asymmetric helmet looks, none of those are as good as this.

Why does it have the Alamo outline at the top? Never mind, reading the description it's weird that they say: The shield that the panther and star rest in is a nod to Spanish Colonial architecture with the star located where a bell would normally rest. While this iconic style does not depict an exact building in the city, the design can be found around the city, especially in the Stockyards. There are a few places that actually do feature that roof that's attributed to the Alamo, they just aren't considered the best known details of the stockyards.

The school sees them ahead of time, so ultimately it's their call. They can send the prototype back and say expand the sleeves or they can accept what is given.

I believe they actually had someone make that font, so it's possible the Champion font is treated as a trademark in the same way adidas three stripes are treated that way outside of Ireland.
