Gothamite Posted September 1, 2016 Share Posted September 1, 2016 I got my first good look at the new Minnesota United logo, and noticed that although it is largely unchanged, there were a few minor alterations. We all knew about replacing the full name with "MNUTD", but there's more. The loon has been enlarged, and the wing now has a gray outline around the feathers where they rise above the shield. The star has also been moved over a bit. The colors may also have been tweaked, or that could just be a result of inaccurate logos online. Gothamite Posted September 2, 2016 Author Share Posted September 2, 2016 It is a great logo overall, but it has one glaring weakness; the lack of any defining shape. By free-floating the star, they make it muddy in certain applications. Against a dark background, no problem. Looks outstanding. But put it against a light background and the star disappears, while the overall shape is lost. As much as I hate needless outlines, I think they need a version to be used against a light background, maybe with a black outline around the shield and star. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database!
