Papa John's rebrands to finally remove the apostrophe

Serious question tho: Shouldn't Papa Johns have an apostrophe?  It's possessive. The restaurant belongs/was founded by to Papa John.

The only way it makes sense to me is if it's to get around certain places that make businesses translate their names into the local language. "Papa John's Pizza" is something that would have to be translated, but "Papa Johns" is just a nonsense name that doesn't translate.
