FiddySicks
The A's will not move to San Jose, the Giants will not give up their rights to that area. Sacramento, considering the projections for population over the next 20 years would be a good place for them to move should they go that route. That said though (and I already do go to 15 games a year at the Coliseum) if they build it I will go. Sacramento would be a terriffic place for a professional baseball team, but I think i am part of the minority that feels the Coliseum is a terriffic stadium for baseball. I feel that there isnt a bad seat in the house. Especially when you compare it to their bay area counterparts where there are some of the worst seats for veving a baseball game ever. I agree, it does look rediculous to have Mt. Davis there only because it always makes it look like the Coliseum empty, but other than that there is nothing wrong with that stadium for baseball. You know, I really miss the old outfield backdrop on TV. I definately prefer that over what they have now. I like the field setup. No quirky dimensions or fences, much like Kaufmann. The views from the upper deck don't look obstructed unlike Skydome, er Rogers Centre. I saw, I came, I left.
WSU151
Those are great photos... The old Arlington Ballpark (Stadium?) was the same way, wasn't it? A little smaller, maybe, due to it being a minor league park, but it was pretty much the same setup. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half. And really, its still not bad. Like i said, Mt. Davis can make it look empty at times but other than that its a great stadium for viewing baseball especially compared to SBC and even more so to Candlestick.
