jr79
What the fluff?23Australia wearing grey and yellow monstrosities... And as for that South African kit... I didn't expect any better from Hummel.Edit:The Australian shirts also have the players' nicknames on the back instead of their names for the one-off twenty20 game. Primal
Someone at Adidas needs to be taken out back and beaten severely.White? OK. Navy blue? Workable. Royal blue? Meeeeeehhh. But GREY? Ack!Not since the WSC pastel days has cricket been quite so offensive. And the nicknames? I just don't like, but that's a fairly subjective thing. rmered
I don't know if coming to this forum is responsible, but I have become a real uniform snob. And last night, as a result, I just couldn't watch the game. The silver/grey thing the Aussies were wearing was just hideous. As for nicknames, another bad idea. What if a player had a nickname that was derived from something inappropriate.Like Brett Heady's nickname was Jobby. Or a bloke nicknamed Tripod by those who have seen him in the showers. Or the Sydney Swans player Sean Dempster, whose nickname is Cum.Who's going to explain that to the 10 year olds we're hoping to win over to the game?Surely, someone must know that it's a bad idea. Oh, and I've got a site.Footy Jumpers Dot Com

The only people who can wear silver and look good are astronauts on their space suits.Silver should not be a main colour in any clothing.Especially not cricket. jr79
On further viewing I particularly disliked the mismatching sleeve and pant striping on the Australian kit.I hate the chevrons all the way down the SA pants. The shirt I could take but those pants extend the theme too far!

Ack!Not since the WSC pastel days has cricket been quite so offensive. And the nicknames? I just don't like, but that's a fairly subjective thing. the only countries whose national teams could pull off gray/silver would be New Zealand, and if done right, the US.I would ask if a blind person designed this, but that would be an insult to the blind. which leaves 4-year olds and druggies as the only other possibilities. Alphabet Man
i didn't mind it for the one-off Twenty20 match, i still think it is a better than South Africa's, maybe someone shouls have supplied grey pads as well, the gold ones didn't work.....maybe we should re-introduce the gold helmets for ODI's and they could have gotten grey helmets and caps for the Twenty20 game....but the KFC ads- too many on the uniform, its good they gave Cricket Australia some cash but there was too many ads on the shirt and pants....adidas have recked the Aussie uniforms, but imo is still better than South Africas twitter.com/thebrainofMatt
PackerBadger
Why did you post that picture? Don't you realize that the uniform nerds at Nike will be using those as a basis for another Oregon football uniform? And since cricket is (supposedly) one of the forebears of baseball, how long will it be before we see the A's come out in all-green unis?
