black_gold_capone
terrorist threats- we were havin a class discussion about Columbine, I said anyone could do it even me and they took it serious. It didn't help that I started cussin the teacher out. If he wears a brownies jersey he should be banned from Pennsylvania I HATE THE BROWNS Now that we have the one for the thumb, the other hand looks lonely........GO STEELERS
winters in buffalo
After doing a little research on the matter it turns out that the teacher's actions may have been part of the way he teaches the class. Apparently students know this going into his class. He uses situations like that to teach what it feels like to be discriminated against. I'm not defending him or saying hat he did was right but what happened does seem to fit the way he teaches his classes. He also has his classes participate in something called "The Ethnic Jew." They are required to wear a yellow star of david armband etc. and be taunted by classmates as part of their preparation for a trip to the holocaust museum. His methods are unusual but it doesn't look like the guy "just snapped" over a Broncos jersey. As usual there is more to this story than what the media is reporting. Seems like an appropriate exercise then.
DaytonBlue
Even after hearing about how this teacher teaches the class, I still believe he should be fired. After all, it's a testing situation, and while now in college if someone harassed me like that I'd probably go nuts, a 17 year old wouldn't necessarily know how to handle that, and the lesson part is clearly lost since its a current event. Steelers fans need to relax. All the more reason to cheer for Seattle, even if they are the Rams division rival. DaytonBlue
can 17 years sign waivers in PA (maybe..i don't know), or did their parents have to sign them? i guess my concern about the whole thing is when i was 17 (only 21 now so not that long ago) i, and nearly all my friends, was not nearly as mature as now and able to make adult decisions with possible ramifications. If your a minor you have to have a parent or guardian to cosign for just about anything. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) PittsburghSucks
I just saw on the news that John Elway sent this kid a leather home theater chair valued at over $3000. If i can find a link to it I'll post it.

That sounds very similiar to the "brown eyes / blue eyes" method. teachers have been fired for that tooyou can do "experiments" on kids minds to teach them something
