Seadragon76
Look, if you have a worst record then the fricking Arizona Cardinals, the butt of all jokes in the NFL, then your team(s) stink.
BBTV
Not that the state of PA is considered a region like the Bay Area, but just to compare records over the same time frame:Philadelphia 31-17 (includes this season's poor record)Pittsburgh 32-16 (includes 6-10 in 2003) "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." Jigga
Wow. I mean WOW, that's kinda shocking. It doesn't look like either will be much better next year unfortunately. It may be too early to call Alex Smith a bust, but he was scarily bad last year...They will probably be the worst team in the league again. Every other piss poor team had some "excuse." I really like Mike Nolan, but he could seriously end up with one of the worst win-loss records in the history of the NFL. Zoiks, what a mess. The Raiders will probably be stupid and release Kerry Collins and hand the reigns over to Marques Tuiasosopo or Andrew Walter... I'm all for brothas getting jobs and all, but Art Shell? Come on. He hasn't coached in TWELVE years. Where's the defense? When the hell will Darth Davis realize the game has passed him by and take his white leather jumpsuit wearing ass out of the football operations business. Dude, just write the checks. BG, I feel for you man. I really do. But things are cyclical. When the Bay Area was racking up the 'ships in the 80s, I'm sure y'all lived it up. brinkeguthrie
I don't think LA would WANT either of these wretched teams. You already HAD the Raiders.
infrared41
Oakland is an absolute disaster right now. I don't know what else to add or even where to begin with the Raiders. Al Davis is hopelessly out of touch. No one wanted the head coaching job. That's just embarassing. That is one messed up football team. They are a long, long way from good. The 49ers? Well Alex Smith had bust written all over him before he was drafted. He came from a gimmick offense and he played against decent but not top notch competition. What sane person would think that guy could line up under center and get it done in the NFL. He's another Akili Smith. The 49ers will be good again before the Raiders but not by much. Both teams are in shambles if you ask me.What a shame to see two of the NFL's marquee franchises looking more like The Browns than the Browns do these days.I can just see my post in one of those NFL Network spots next season when these two meet in the Super Bowl next year...That's the nice thing about the NFL these days you just never know...but I wouldn't bet on it.
