I'll just pick one for each major sports league:

NHL: Blue Jackets (worse than the slug even, c'mon) http://www.sportslogos.net/images/Hockey/NHL/CBJ_4573.gif

NFL: Bengals B, it's just lame

NBA: the Sonics, lame as well

MLB: The Blue Jays, this one:

i was going to put the jays and jackeys one in my ratings but i didn't cause i only picked three. Come on though...what does a bug, blue jacket, and hockey have to do with each other.

3. Has to be the Toronto "BLUE" Jays non-use of Blue anywhere in their logo.

2. The Buffaslug: 'Nuff said

and at #1: ANY AND ALL LOGOS ASSOCIATED WITH THE NIFL!!!!!!! and it's not even asteroid close. A group effort to clampdown on #1 for the REST OF ETERNITY

Thank you.

Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends. Sounds like something from a Rocky & Bullwinkle story arc.

#3: Baltimore Ravens- I know this logo actually debuted in 1999 about close enough. I still hate it with a passion, it just plain sucks.  Why in the hell didn't they use something like this?

I think they didn't go with that logo because of legal reasons. I dont have time to find the case, but it had something to do with a gu claimed he drew it up and the Ravens used it without permission.

I think the logo you are thinking about is this one:

but I could be wrong.

3- Quebec Jumping Frogs (ABA). Just a bad, bad, bad idea.

2- Memphis ManiAX (XFL). The guy looks like he's been downing a jug of coffee. It's more humorous than fearsome.

1- Los Angeles Xtreme (XFL). A space age swastika.

3. Charlotte Bobcats Partial

Crappy standard colors. Predictable graphics. Terrible lettering.

3. Columbus Blue Jackets - they set themselves up for this when they named the team

2. Vancouver Canucks - love their jerseys, but dumb logo

1. Houston Rockets - I can't be the only one, can I?

No, you're not.

1. Houston Rockets.

2. Anaheim Ducks

3. Buffalo Sabres. (With all the Buffaslug stuff, I forgot what this team was actually called)

Most of the logo misfires since 2000 seem to be hockey related.

3rd- Washington Nationals

2nd- Buffalo Sabres

1st- Columbus Blue Jackets

The Nats make the list not for being bad as much as just being boring, like their name.

Why the Sabres is bad has been discussed ad nauseam.

I like the name Blue Jackets, but the logo tells you nothing about the team. It looks like it just says CB. Even if you figure out that the hockey stick is the J it still reads CJB. They are supposed to change to their alternate this year I think.

Honorable mention to the Anaheim Ducks. It is probably worse than the Nationals, but I'm not sure it really counts as a logo. I like the D duck foot/batarang a lot, but using the work Ducks as a logo sucks. Its a Logo In Name Only.

Since there are too many honorable mentions (many of which you could probably guess on your own), I'll just list my top, er, bottom 3:

3. Toronto Black and Grapite, or, We completely forgot what our team nickname is, Jays

2. Milwaukee Dead Guys

1. Of cours, the Buffalo Slugs. (Why they ever changed from Sabres is beyond me. That name was much better, IMO. ^_^ )
