Gothamite
That's great - I love Ebbets. They've finally got the quality back to where it was pre-Stall & Dean.Ton of new jerseys, as well. SabreGuy
I may buy that NY Knights hat.I just got the go-ahead from the wife to use my birthday money to buy that one. Right now I'm trying to work out what size to get. Anyone know how to best size their caps? I mean... I can measure my head, but how do I know which of their sizes to get? I have both a San Francisco Seals and that NY Knights hat your talking about and both fit 7 1/2 comfortably just as it should. Carter23
is the wool uncomfortable on your head?look weird as opposed to whatever normal fabric baseball hats are?flat out just look different than normal baseball hats?its kinda hard to tell just based on pictures... thanks
VitaminD
is the wool uncomfortable on your head?look weird as opposed to whatever normal fabric baseball hats are? Before this season, all authentic MLB on-field (59Fifty) caps were 100% wool. The crown looks a little less peaked compared to today's models, but they'll probably feel just fine. I'd also venture to guess that the sweatband inside these Ebbets caps are leather, instead of cloth. "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.

Gothamite
Yeah, when he bought back the company from Stall and Dean.Worthwhile tradeoff, to my mind. I miss the leather, but the quality had gone so far downhill after he sold it. Even 90% of the product he used to sell is 100% better than the dreck they were putting out under his name.... nateoxford
The caps are pretty comfy. The wool is soft melton. The crowns aren't stiff at all. The sweatband is black cotton, not white. When I first got mine, I was reminded of the ballcaps Charlie Brown's team wears. Compared to the 5950s, they have a sandlot feel to them. SabreGuy
Have you never bought a fitted cap?Try this size guide:http://www.shushans.com/sixthpage.htmlha, of course I have. I guess the question was more about how they fit compared to other fitted caps. Do they run large or small? etc. Looking back at it now, I didn't really ask that properly. But I couldn't wait for a response, because I'm like a kid in a candy store with hats, so I just bought my "correct" size (7 5/8) and we'll see if it works out.Actually, technically, I'm EXACTLY between 7 5/8 and 7 3/4 (my head seems to be exactly 24 inches around) but I hate loose, so I usually go with 7 5/8.I'm pretty sure you can just measure your head and divide the circumference by pi. I should mention that I have over 500 hats. We're trying to save money (because we have a baby on the way, and money is already tight) so we put a moratorium on unnecessary spending (which includes hats for me, and several things for her, so I made out OK on the deal, really) but since its my birthday money, the moratorium, we determined, does not apply.
